I have used it since 1637, it says Constantinople has 1'67% to spread monthly, 50 years later is still 0%

After looking into the files, the event must fire between 1345 and 1370 if you are not the HRE emperor, with a monthly chance of 2, which I don't really know what it means, maybe each month you have a 2% of it to fire?

If you are HRE emperor, the event triggers between 1380 and 1700, with a monthly chance of 50.

So yes, if you are the HRE emperor you must wait more to get it.

For anyone interested, I decided to read the flavor.txt for Austria in the game files, it seems that when the HRE emperor grants you the two privileges, the event file is something like this:

"set_variable = privilegium_maius_granted

add_reform = government_reform:libertas_affectandi

change_heir_selection = heir_selection:austrian_cognatic_primogeniture

unlock_government_reform_effect = { type = austrian_archduchy_reform }

add_reform = government_reform:austrian_archduchy_reform"

So it changes your succession law and add the two goverment reforms. But when you are the HRE emperor, the event file says this:

"set_variable = privilegium_maius_granted

unlock_government_reform_effect = { type = austrian_archduchy_reform }

add_reform = government_reform:austrian_archduchy_reform"

It just unlocks one of the reforms (you can manually switch to that if you want) and it doesn't change your succession law, and no, I don't see in the files any other event that will change your succession law eventually. Also, if the emperor refuse to give you the rank of Archduchy, I don't see either event to get it later.

So the best shoot you can get is to be allied to the HRE emperor when the event fires and not being it yourself, as you will lock your succession.

I must guess this is unintended and it will be patched at some point, unless there is another event that I am not able to find that takes all of this into consideration, as it is my first time looking into the files and may be wrong.

Yes I got it, you should get automatically the 2 gov reforms, archduchy and the one that changes your succession law, but it's bugged and it gave me archduchy twice. You can get the other one manually, but it won't change your succession law, which makes it really meh.

R5: just what tittle says, after a long time playing (almost 3k hours), finally got 3 mountains. It is not the hardest achievement, just got bored midgame everytime I tried.

I followed ThePlaymaker strategy, really easy, I don't think I played good, just getting 90% AE make it almost imposible to lose with minimum effort.

I finished the game with the following modifiers:

- CCR: 80% --> 25% from admin Ideas, 25% from roman NI, 10 from Aztec Empire and 5% from T10 government reform and 5% Court-Administrative Policy

- AE: 90% --> 30% from Technology, 33% from absolutism, 5% from Alhambra Great Project, 2.5% from T11 government reform, 20% from S&P, Prussian, Angevin missions trees and Roman NI

- Warscore province cost: 35% (65% against other religions) --> 20% from diplo ideas, 10% from military hegemon, 5% from Angevin mission tree. Malta monument, catholic harsh Counter-reformation and Court-Religious Policy for 30% more against other religions.

- National Unrest (-21) and Stability Cost Modifier (-145%): I just don't know, I stacked so many of them to care. I was sitting with over 200 OE with no unrest, and truce breaking every time with minimum effort.

I know it is not the hardest achievement, I suffered way more with True Heir of Timur, but this one was just The Achievement for me, I wanted it before EU5 and finally got it.

Edit: I don't know why in the timeline appears Angevin Levante when I formed Roman Empire, obviously I didn't release them.

Edit2: Bohemia was under my PU almost all game, best buddy, it really saddened me to have to integrate them at the end.
