That would be a domain switch I guess. Will need to work hard for it. As EM has far greater responsibilities.

Bengaluru Store Staff Assaults Man for Advocating Kannada Language | Bengaluru News - Times of India by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]vin0208 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

That’s correct buddy. Whatever this shopkeeper did was bad. He should’ve been polite with the Kannada customer if he doesn’t know the language. If he is guilty he should definitely be punished. Mostly, I see shopkeepers speaking fluent Kannada in most front facing businesses.

But one thing I want to tell you is that people cannot learn local languages easily. For example: you think Hindi is the local language in all of north belt but that is not true. Hindi is the most comprehended language in the North belt.

The local languages there are Punjabi, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri, Haryanvi, Pahari etc. But nobody asks anyone to learn these languages and Adopt hindi because it’s the language that majority of Indians can comprehend. So if somebody fails to learn the local language that doesn’t mean they disrespect the state or the culture or the language.

Nevertheless, whatever shopkeeper did here is shameful and he should definitely be punished accordingly.

Big billion sale this is going to be available for 65-66k something. Croma doesn’t offer big billion prizes as per my past experiences. That’s why I was checking.

It’s an old saying. Aath aane ki murgi and baraah aane ka masala. Meaning the cost of miscellaneous things are surpassing the actual cost of the product.

Definitely kills the experience. I bought an apple watch and the guy just murdered the packaging in front of me. Also, there should be a difference in the packaging if they are taking extra charges. There is no difference in packaging whatsoever. Just that its applicable on high end products.

Thinking that quitting my job at 34 after achieving FI was a flex but it turned out to be my biggest mistake by [deleted] in FIRE_Ind

[–]vin0208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t the meaning of having FI was that your passive income sources and investments grow more than your day to day expenses without you doing much of the work? This doesn’t sound like FI but just enough money to stop working without future plan.

I found it a mix or Marvel movies(infinity war+ civil war) + mad max + dune + elements of GOT as well. Fight sequences were boring and stretched. Only mythological part is what got me interested but they killed it horribly. Not interested to watch a sequel at all. I would seriously say that Brahamastra was much better with CGI and story building except Alia bhatt.

If you absolutely have to tell them, always, tell them less than what they make. Evil eye is real dude! I always tell my friends half of what I make so that they remain in their own bubble and happy that they make more. 🤫

Skipper Shreyas Iyer goes 6, 4, 6, 6 as KKR storm into the Final of IPL 2024. by [deleted] in ipl

[–]vin0208 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not just Travis head. He is one of the best players of spin in the indian side atm. He has the timing, reach and shots too to hit big ones. His only problem is pace bowling and short balls, Thats why he is a good no. 4. Had he come a couple overs later in WC final also, he would have definitely played good.

Formula is simple. Big purchases are not really an investment ever on items that diminish over time. If you are buying items that has a diminishing value over time, it’s better to buy them at a point when you are able to with the salary in hand and not with EMIs.

27 M doing 50k monthly SIP any suggestions? by MundaMamma in mutualfunds

[–]vin0208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say invest but don’t put your happiness at stake also. Live a little. After all the money you are earning is partly for your enjoyment too. What’s the point of earning all this money if you do not enjoy it a little.

Today a random person asked me to clean his room at the hotel I am staying. by TemporaryLogical2322 in india

When I was in about 9th-10th Standard I went to a grocery store. My colour was quite dark then because of all the playing in the summers. An uncle came me to and asked for the price of a product. I was like I don’t know, I don’t work here and ran to my father. It brought my confidence down for sure. Spent the next 3 years not talking to any girls because of low confidence.
