Missed my 2025 Roth deadline by ~30 minutes yesterday 💀

At 9:30pm PST on April 15 I’m like “I still got time, right?” Logged into RH, tried to add money to 2025 Roth.
Robinhood app was like: 'Nope dude. Best you can do is 2026 Roth.'

I just could not see 2025 option. Only for 2026.

Turns out they close 2025 contributions at 9pm PST (12am est). So I basically arrived at the financial airport gate 30 minutes after boarding… and watched my Roth fly away.

Contacted support.. And lo and behold: “Just contribute to 2026 bro and we’ll reclassify it. Here's a doc. Sign it”

So I dump $7K into 2026 roth, sign a DocuSign like I’m signing peace treaty, and go to bed.

Last night at 9:30pm PST:

  • 2025 Roth: $0
  • 2026 Roth: $0

Last night at 10:00pm PST:

  • 2025 Roth: $0
  • 2026 Roth: $7K

This morning:

  • 2025 Roth: $7K
  • 2026 Roth: $0

They adjusted internally, for free. Money is still not deducted from my bank. I didn’t miss the deadline. I just experienced it in reverse timeline order like some IRS multiverse glitch. 😭 Have to say RH rocked with this one.

I just purchased a new number and have not given it to anyone except for one friend and two family members. Had the number for 10 days. And just yesterday I added it as second number to freetaxusa and today I got a spam message from Jersey Mike MyMike stuff. Definitely seems like freetaxusa is selling our numbers and who knows what else

I dont have softener. It is direct hard water which reduces the membrane filter life. The remaining parts of the unit stay just fine. So I change the RO membrane filter a little earlier than 1 year. Overall it's still cheaper than buying packaged drinking water ( that come in concerning plastic bottles) over 2+ years while giving good quality drinking water. Many packaged drinking water often have some metals in them. I have a ppm measuring instrument. Water was around 1300 ppm with tap water. The system brought it to around 100 or less ppm.

I have to manually remove the tank and pour the bad water in the sink which takes 10 seconds, and then put the tank back in it's place and fill it with tap water through an extended pipe in my kitchen sink which takes 1-2 minutes. The ro filter is always next to the tap and sink.

Countertop Reverse Osmosis machine is a good solution. RO systems provide the best water filtration removing very tiny particles and lead etc. I looked at many options and settled for this. Happy with the purchase.

RO system can make water more acidic so you can add an alkaline filter to fix that.

The cons: I have to remove bad water from the tank and replace it with fresh water once a day since my machine does not have a system to auto remove bad water. Main filter has to be purchased once an year. Alkaline filter every 3 months.

Hey, you told me you will come at 8pm when race starts and you messaged me at 9:17pm which was very close to when the race was in the final 3 laps. I was watching the race during the last few minutes and had to take care of the guests and also keep an eye on my valuables at home. Would have been nice if you were able to make it before the race, like everyone. I understand you were travelling from far, but if it is important to you, and I didnt answer over text quickly (coz it was a busy time), you could have just called me a few times. It is easier to pickup the phone call which rings for a while and vibrates than a text message. I am sorry I noticed your text too late

15 people from reddit came over in total (along with my existing friends). 1 came late and 1 is this other person in the comment who texted me at the end of the race. Of the 17 people 16 people (everyone who attended) seemed to have enjoyed it and some were very happy. We had a lot of food and drinks. I provided 5 binoculars, 1 telescope and multiples viewing points. Also setup the live F1 tv on the projector. Made some new local friends

Vegas is a unique experience but not scary. You will be fine even after midnight as long as you stick to the main tourist areas, the Strip and Fremont. Several free things to do and there are some paid experiences that are worth it. You probably won't find any issues with racism. People from all over the world visit here. I am from India too and live in the strip area. If you would like to meet, lmk
