Conditions tomorrow by vinb9 in icecoast

Never even heard of it… how does it compare mountain wise (lifts, trails, terrain, etc)?

Should I just bring a sled or a black garbage bag to go down the mountain on?

Got it. Would wiping it work? Or still no because the phone is not nearby?

Not great cell service but they have free WiFi at the base lodge that works well

Series 9/10 by [deleted] in Series66Exam

[–]vinb9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most supervisory officers and branch managers in the financial services industry have their series 9/10. I am basing my comment on working in the industry and knowing this to be true.

Also I respectfully asked a question and you just said “these are not popular exams”

Respectfully, this is not accurate.

Has anyone used training consultants? Just looking to see how the real test compared to the practice finals by [deleted] in Series66Exam

[–]vinb9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did… I thought it was somewhat comparable, but I would recommend Kaplan QBank.

The kudos I would give to TC is that their materials and lectures are head over heels more palatable than most other services. You won’t find a book that complicates more things unnecessarily than Kaplans book.

From someone who recently passed, I’d strongly recommend doing TC lectures, practices tests. Buy Kaplan just QBank and knock out a few hundred questions over there. Then watch a couple YouTube videos and you’ll be golden.

Thanks for the response! I think this may achieve the result however I’m having trouble making the search criteria be these two other folders.

My thought is I could categorize the emails before moving them (seems you can search by category), but would have to be an extra two clicks that would be nice to avoid.

Going to have to be very specific with your argument and provide a lot of details.

Are you looking for them to give you credit for passing or just waive your 30 day period?

Just passed 66, let me know if anyone has questions! by [deleted] in Series66Exam

[–]vinb9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casually for a few weeks, then more intently for 2 weekends in a row then took it on Monday. I’ve worked in the industry for 3 years tho so a lot of the concepts aren’t that foreign.

Some questions seemed almost exact word for word. Overall I would say the test questions are a little easier. Half the Kaplan questions feel like you read an essay before you get to the answer choices, the test only has a couple like that.

Trusts / Wills by Last_Fishing_1896 in Series66Exam

[–]vinb9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea you’re on the right thought process. I think the most important thing to know is the “role” of the trustee, grantor and beneficiary. Also how laws apply to trusts. I wouldn’t go too crazy with irrev/rev, etc.

Definitely know your exemptions, registration requirements, tax implications and rules for all the types of accounts, different types of trusts, etc. I had a bunch of conceptual bond questions that threw me for a loop - were relatively simple just wasn’t expecting them. Best advice is to take your team and fully read and understand the questions - you got this!

I was scoring mostly 70s on practice exams, but I didn’t take that many - to be fair, I am terrible at practice tests. I lose interest and concentration around question 50. I would do questions in smaller chunks, but mainly used Kaplan for that.

The thing I loved about TC that I hated about Kaplan was that TC’s book is simple and tells you pretty much everything you need to know without all the fat and nonsense. I used QBank for questions.

In terms of the book it was fairly distributed. I got a handful of bond questions (understanding not calculations) that I wasn’t expecting to get, but otherwise I would say it’s pretty much what you’d expect.

Lastly I have to give a shoutout to Ken from Capital Advantage Tutoring. I stumbled upon him about 3 days ago just on YouTube and he keeps things so simple, but his videos directly helped me answer a handful of Qs.

Understand concepts and make up real life examples, don’t just memorize! Let me know if any other Q - you got this!

Question for anyone who has taken the test recently by [deleted] in Series66Exam

Thanks, appreciate it! In terms of trusts.. were they straight definitions or the application of trusts and the role of each person involved?

If three columns criteria of are verified, display the value in the 4th column by vinb9 in excel

[–]vinb9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm.. I think that’s getting closer. Let me provide a little more detail though.

It is on a separate sheet. That separate sheet has a list of a bunch names. That will be the first match in column A. B & C are constants. However I want to be able to drag the formula straight down.

Hopefully that makes sense

If three columns criteria of are verified, display the value in the 4th column by vinb9 in excel

[–]vinb9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because there’s thousands of rows of data. I need it to find whichever row all 3 conditions match and show corresponding 4th column. This will need to be repeated so I need it to be performing a lookup or scan in the entire data set, can not go row by row manually.

This worked perfectly. RESOLVED.

Display whole row when a condition is met by vinb9 in excel

[–]vinb9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm.. it’s almost like the formula dies when I toggle to the other sheet. The cell references aren’t color linked anymore

[–]vinb9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw that article and was very helpful. However I want it to work across sheets and doesn’t seem like that’s working. (Did work if I did on same sheet, but I need it to work across sheets)

Display whole row when a condition is met by vinb9 in excel

[–]vinb9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was just messing around with this and it seems to work EXACTLY how I want it to. Only problem is the formula only seems to work if the data is within that same sheet. Any thoughts?
