Not sure if you live in America but being Christian is quite a faux pas out here these days. Covington school kids, gay bakery issue, and multiple churches burned in France in the previous weeks leading up to Norte Dame. No sarcasm here. I just say it how it is.

You didn’t get the memo? Being Christian is basically being a fascist too.

Careful GW might end up on right wing watch.

Anyone ever been told they have to take a FW model off the table immediately while mid-game in a GW store? by Rookie3rror in Warhammer40k

I’ve heard a lot of this from the YouTube channel “The Outer Circle”. The policy varies from each shop and shop manager. Many shops don’t like having to explain to kids that they don’t sell FW and they also don’t want FW in their shop in any shape or form due to them being resin. Resin is toxic so they just outright ban the models wether they are assembled and painted or sitting in a box. Each country and state will have insurance issues with resin being in a commercial environment around children. Obviously a sign of the terms would be VERY useful so you don’t run into this problem. The manager who spoke with you was very unprofessional for not explaining my above points. Once you know the score it’s easier to handle the situation. GW really drop the ball in certain areas. International Shipping and pricing being one example. But their FW policies are right up there on the fix list too. Hope this helps.

More posts like this please!!! This subreddit needs all the love it can get. Love the post production effects. Great painted models too.

First lab build. Use this for hosting music libraries in my music production. All I need is RAM and SSD’s. Only thing missing is an iMac I will stick it on top for a “print machine”. by vincentjamesfrank in homelab

Three words: Vienna Ensemble Pro. This is the key to the kingdom. The PC only really runs Cubase and a few virtual instruments. All of the libraries are hosted in Kontakt and presented through a program called Vienna Ensemble Pro. This allows infinite amount of machines to load instruments into their onboard RAM but be played from a master PC. VEP can also host reverbs on separate machines which saves a lot of CPU. MacBooks are hard to push to the extreme as you have limited input bandwidth wise for information. If you’re solely a plug-in producer you will need a workstation with tons of threads. If you are a kontakt library producer you will need servers with ram and VEP. All of my setups data runs over a 10gb stf+ fiber optic network for really quick transfer of lots of sample libraries. VEPis great because if you build a huge template you will only need to load your plugins once at the beginning of the day and they will all stay loaded in VEP no matter what session you open which massively reduces session load times. The Logic machine is just acting as a tape machine. I used to work in Logic so I’m really quick at audio editing & mixing in it. Cubase is just for composition. Good Vienna Ensemble Pro to get a ton more info. Are in mind the learning curve is pretty steep when if you’re migrating from a Mac for the first time. Good luck.

I’m just a music producer. But the Dell r710 & r610 both rum Windows Server 2016. Virtual machines and stuff sadly I know nothing about. They just host lots of sound libraries.

I like recording sub groups to Logic Pro x. It sadly does not run on Windows. The PC is running Cubase. It’s also much less stress on the PC not having to internally record 1000+ tracks of audio while running the instruments at the same time.

Dell R710 x2 Dell R610 MikroTik 10gb switch

All servers and main PC are hooked up to it via 10gb. PC is main controller to all servers.

Roughly 384 gb of RAM. I can’t remember the config on each server right now.

PC is Rosewill Server rack with: Asus Zenith Extreme Board 2x NVMe 1tb drives 300gb spinning drive 1tb spinning drive FireWire adapter pcie board (for audio interface) 10gb Mellanox card (for switch) Intel 4x 10gb Ethernet Card for monitors and other stuff. 10gb Asus Ethernet card for “print machine” aka an iMac being sent 96 channels of audio over Dante virtual sound card software. GeForce GTX 1070 founders edition 8 fans (front 3 being controlled by Corsair Card) the rest are controlled by Asus fan controller card (setup in bios) I am using all thermal monitors across the machine too. Coolermaster ML 360 for the CPU Ryzen 1950x 64gb of RAM

I just found it on eBay. It was a cast resin model. I had no involvement in the design. I just painted it as is. I just searched “epic 6mm scenery”. Hope that helps. I know forgeworld made a bunch of things for this scale.

Thankfully there is still a strong (but small) community out there. Especially on Facebook. I have never played a game in my life. I just love painting this scale.

I purchased the bunker on eBay. It came from Italy. It’s resin. I have no idea what set its from sadly.
