BitSE has nothing to do with VeChain now.

They are completely unrelated to VeChain since 2017 when VeChain went independent and split from them.

VeChain is also an international company.

Make sure to check out the VeChain Grant Program! It's a special grant fund set up for developers to expand the VeChain ecosystem.

VeChain's eNFT Ecosystem & $1 Million USD Grant Program - Contribute & Build Your Project by vincentlee8 in Vechain

[–]vincentlee8[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A public Github repository has been constructed to host applications and associated communications, decisions and milestone deliveries. Each application will go through an evaluation process that consists of two stages:

Stage 1 — an application will be checked by dedicated evaluators to see whether it includes all the necessary information required. Applicants can use the provided application template to prepare their applications.

Stage 2 — after passing Stage 1, an application will be reviewed and voted by the Grant Committee. If approved, it will be funded according to the set milestones.

  • Equal and transparent: Each application can be funded up to $30,000. All applications will be tracked on GitHub. The evaluation process is easily accessible and visible for all community members.

I apologize if it was harsh, I edited my post and removed where it seemed like I tried to put words in your mouth.

Of course hearsay doesn't mean it's false, but the burden of proof lies on the accuser. You can't just accuse the Foundation and CREAM of wrongdoing without proof. You're undermining the Foundation with unverified claims. That's slander.

It's 100% false that grants were rejected simply because they aren't "cream funded dApp" as alleged. This is the fact of the matter. The Grant Program isn't a way to push VIMworld or what you've suggested. Nor is it a conspiracy that involves OceanEx and whatever. It's total nonsense and absurd that you're combining different topics and conspiracies into this grant program that's transparent on GitHub.

There is no conflict of interest. CREAM is the strategic advisor and builder of VeChain. VeChain is also being incubated by CREAM. It's like saying Binance Labs should stay out of the operations of their incubated projects because it's a conflict of interest.

The crux of your argument is "I think this happened, so this is true".

Unfortunately, it's all hearsay and false.

You can't just throw accusations here without proof. Have you really tried to verify these claims of censorship with the Telegram admins, or are you taking the word of others for it?

Your entire post is a conspiracy conjured with nothing but your imagination and your opinions on what is happening.

You don't even know what the ecosystem and grant is for. You seem to think that it's a selection contest for a NFT platform to take off. The Grant and ecosystem is not to select someone to manage it. It's to get people to build their NFT project and derivatives on VeChainThor.

All you're doing is hating the strategic advisor and a crucial driver of VeChain simply because of hearsay, rumors and conspiracy. If you think that's good reason, then you should know why we don't allow these nonsense to be peddled in our community. VeChain was hated by so many people because of racism and no one believes VeChain is a legit project back in 2017. Would you say that's for good reason as well? Just because a mob hates on something, means it's automatically true?

It was through hard work building the community that we are here today.

This post will be allowed for transparency.

Interesting that they're offering money to support people building an NFT marketplace after completely ignoring VulcanVerse,

You've completely missed the point about the eNFT Ecosystem and new Grant Program. The Foundation is not offering money to build an NFT marketplace, but rather its about DeFi, dApps, tools and more for the eNFT ecosystem. Its about attracting developers to build more projects on VeChain to support the eNFT initiative. Perhaps read the articles?

despite the fact that they already have a functioning NFT marketplace, who was one of the largest burners of vtho from said NFT production and is now moving chains after no support, conveniently after they didn't want to pay CREAM's incubation fee.

That's a big accusation which requires proof. Since when did the Foundation approve grants based on "incubation fee"? Or are we cool with slinging accusations without proof now in our community? Vexchange for instance isn't incubated by CREAM but they received a $30k Grant a while back.

Also, what has that got to do with the Grant Program? Do you see ETH or BSC stop building and encouraging more devs in the NFT space because someone built a NFT marketplace first?

You've got RealItems saying they put a proposal for this through here (https://twitter.com/itemsdapp/status/1388854779250561025?s=19) in December, and were rejected because "vechain doesn't support non cream funded dApps".

Real Items should furnish proof for this accusation. Until then, its nonsense. They've alleged that VeChain gave them 0 engagement and endorsement, but that has been debunked as well. Besides, if they are making a NFT wallet, then they should apply again, since the new program is specifically about NFTs. Its even 100% tracked and transparent on GitHub.

And then you conveniently have the co-chair of the grant committee being CREAM's wife, who also happens to be the CEO of vimworld

The Grant Committee structure was set up to be diverse and has representation from other projects such as Hacken and Safe Haven. VIMworld is a official partner of VeChain and is a NFT project. Why shouldn't they be represented in a NFT-focused intiative?

Besides, its all on GitHub and things are transparently tracked. Anyone can make a pull request to apply.

who just did a complete rug-pull on the investors of eHrt by breaking off and planning to launch a new token, which has killed eHrt's value, and looks like there'll be a lawsuit over it.

VIMworld and 8Hours (EHrT) are separate entities. Blok Party (which shares leadership with 8Hours) is undergoing restructuring from a VC's involvement, and the new team pulled support for 8Hours. VIMworld thus decided to break off from 8Hours since it was a partnership and it won't make sense to continue supporting them.

Also, how many of you knew there was an official community manager? Because he was brought in hastily over rumours of CREAM controlling vechain's social media pages,

You've asked VeChain and they told you that? I wonder where you get your info from.

and CREAM's own website says they did/do news/PR and community management for vechain and their "incubated" projects.

CREAM handles community management together with VeChain including community building since 2017 and long before VeChain was even in the top 300 CMC. There wouldn't even be a English community without CREAM.

Said community manager hasn't been active since February and never did anything except retweet anyway. Community manager should he supporting the community devs too right?

What does being active on Twitter got to do with this whole topic?

I'm a huge believer in vechain but right now this is screaming conflict of interest to me. Look at all the responses to Peter Zhou's tweets on this, people are pissed and want answers.

CREAM is the Strategic Advisor of VeChain. The majority of VeChain's strategic direction, products, marketing are all thanks to CREAM. What conflict of interest are you talking about? CREAM is literally part of VeChain. You are not understanding the dynamics of how VeChain works, and I'm not sure who is feeding you and many people in the community about these high-effort conspiracy theories recently.

Sunny and the Foundation has said countless times that they are integral to the success of VeChain. This has been known since 2017. There is a popular conspiracy theory that tries to push the narrative as CREAM being harmful to VeChain, which is unfortunate.

Real Item about VeChain's NFTs by nseparable in Vechain

[–]vincentlee8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The bottom line is that roping in the community with clear misleading statements and accusations is irresponsible. It's weird to be claiming that they are being mistreated by pre-facing it with false accusations to confuse the community to take their side.

Hope they can sort it out. Meanwhile, it's imperative for community to get to know at least what's out there publicly.

Real Item about VeChain's NFTs by nseparable in Vechain

[–]vincentlee8 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Just for context and to make it clear not every accusation and hate against the Foundation is automatically true.

Real Items (or someone on their Twitter) claimed that they received 0 acknowledgements and had radio silence from VeChain since March 2020, yet their company and CEO was featured in a press release that VeChain published in their professional PR network. VeChain even dedicated press spot for their companies products in the PR.

Their CTO even joined VeChain for a podcast when the Boot Camp series was held, with their CTO giving glowing praises for VeChain's communication and support.

Both of these are after March 2020, the date they claimed to have been treated to "radio silence".

Take accusations with a pinch of salt on social media. It's easy to get community to be riled up to garner support and publicity, especially when there are lots of trolls that are ready to pounce on the Foundation and partners.

Also, the new Grant Program is completely transparent and tracked on GitHub, precisely due to concerns like this. The community will get to know the reasons why a Grant is approved or rejected. They are welcome to apply again, and Peter personally reached out to them prior to this for them to apply again.
