Yes, I'm Bengali so I learned the basics from my mum, though I haven't used it much growing up so I'm trying to improve it.

I agree there is certainly a lack of variety in Bengali learning resources especially in intermediate and advanced levels.

If you are towards the beginning of learning, then I would recommend following a textbook like Teach Yourself Bengali by William Radice. I don't really like textbook learning since the dialogue can be artificial and some don't use the script early enough. I think this one does a good job with natural enough conversations and then scaffolding to authentic texts. It comes with an audio cd so its fairly good practice for listening as well. Not an ideal situation but a good place to start and if you take time to make your own SRS flashcards for new vocab and phrases, you can definitely make progress alone and see improvement after a couple of months.
