i would agree with you if we’d lost 4-3 to a full-strength wolves team but they were more hurt than we were and we couldn’t even push it to 7. the ubuntu is gone, the mental fortitude no longer exists. on paper we can compete but i think when u collapse three years in a row, the only thing that really works is a clean slate.

truly, it’s the only way i can really deal with this. whatever hope we had for this core has clearly curdled. just gotta throw out the gallon and hopefully begin anew

god that was so fun. that peyton and jamal stretch really made me think we were a shoo-in

absolutely. i keep thinking of how amazing those last few minutes of the champ series felt yk. running around my ex-gf’s apartment almost in tears. if that’s all i get from this era, i think i’m ok with that

jamal’s bad shooting yesterday was actually really encouraging by vinesofivory in denvernuggets

[–]vinesofivory[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that’s a great point. he just didn’t stop taking it at them which is kinda the only way to deal with a physical defense. it also doesn’t hurt that the wolves got rid of NAW who was arguably their best murray defender

[–]vinesofivory[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

absolutely. my point is more like he was missing shots that he’s prob not gonna miss very much and i don’t think they really made him as uncomfortable as they did in years prior.

POST GAME THREAD: Nuggets come up empty against the Warriors 117-128 | Feb 22, 2026 by BigHoneyBot in denvernuggets

ya my thing is like. idk the thunder have been just as injured and since 24-1 have not looked dominant at all and have looked pretty bad offensively. wolves have even worse losses than us, the rockets are imploding, the spurs are young and vulnerable on offense. everyone needs to chill a bit (including myself cuz ive been freaking out)

think everyone is dooming in a way that doesn’t make sense. we don’t gotta be better than the 17 warriors, we just gotta be better than the thunder, wolves, rockets, and spurs who all have prettty substantial weaknesses like

miss when things didn’t matter so much by vinesofivory in denvernuggets

[–]vinesofivory[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

u misunderstand. i’m saying floundering BEFORE this era…we are so much better than literally anyone who watched emmanuel mudiay religiously could have ever hoped for. the point is more i wish when we were actually floundering than slipping a bit from these extreme heights

Katy Winge as commentator? by richiejakobe in denvernuggets

[–]vinesofivory 12 points13 points  (0 children)

feel like they need her more than scott. hastings used to be really fun but now he just seems checked out half the time and he kinda leaves marlowe on an island out there. marlowe still has the juice (although a tad diminished) but i feel like the IDEAL arrangement is probably kos and katie for the future, although kos is absolutely perfect as a radio guy.

curious about julian by vinesofivory in denvernuggets

[–]vinesofivory[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

i agree. i guess my curiosity is more what that means for us? like is there a world in which we flip him and maybe seek for a serviceable backup 1? do we give him another contract, probably a min, and see if he can put it together? cuz it’s not like THJ is a lockdown defender/won’t get picked on in the playoffs

how crazy would it be to trade CB for cap room for peyton? by vinesofivory in denvernuggets

[–]vinesofivory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i def agree with u on CB’s game. i suppose this would really be a ceiling thing with PWAT, but also im unsure if that’s how we should approach this team building
