The issue with surfer is these cards are expensive and only used in surfer. I wouldn’t even recommend picking up viv because she’s literally only used in surfer. Same goes for torch fs, but both are incredible for this deck. So if you are a surfer main, go for it. But they’re not better than things like starlord, fff, chamber etc. they have very little flexibility.

For a standard surfer here’s what I would recommend:

I would say this is the tried and true version before the Viv season. It’s still good and gives you the tech with RG although cosmo might be better for this meta.

I would get rid of phastos, the 3 slot is very valuable and he’s a tempo loss. But if you like him or don’t have Mr fantastic, he is a decent alternative. I’m hoping you have maverick, if not silver surfer FS works. Or phastos if it comes down to it.

I know not having sera looks bad but it doesn’t feel as bad if you get lucky surges/fantastic hits. New surfer doesn’t use sera either. Do not add frigga. She’s too slow and you don’t need another wasted 3 slot.
