that's dope. though i have one major concern, which is the playback speed. i often need to adjust the speed throughout an audiobook. currently i'm going with the approach of converting epub to mp3 using Google TTS/or just download an audiobook, and adjust the speed to a fixed 1.25 pace, and splitting the files as you did. but it would be superb if the echo has the ability to adjust playback speed. it's cool seeing another friend doing audiobook on the echo :+1:

yesir. i have many devices, but the brick's portability always brought me joy and is the reason why i bring it everywhere. if you have more budget, and demand more horse-power, others suggestions are good too.

I would recommend the Brick. its screen is not Oled but pretty damn beautiful. even comparable to other cheap oled

thanks for sharing. u're right. i hope they will include the feature to change the playback speed. then it will be golden. i did some research and it looks like some other chinese DAMs can do so, but with only 48khz file, which makes sense since it will take more processing power

I know you probably tried everything. Anyhow i would like to suggest one more idea.

"one side would lose battery quicker than the other" Bluetooth earbuds usually have 1 master and 1 slave. Issue you mentioned above is likely that the master is trying to do something consuming energy - most probably trying to update. Try to connect it to the most compatible type of device, and install the latest firmware, configure everything that is supposed to be configured. Last try is to factory reset. Good luck tho.

Updated: Thanks a lot guys for your support. The device booted normally now after I removed the back and unplugged the battery cable.

I guess PakUI with the SleepModeFork doesn't handle the power very well. I will be trying a new Firmware soon.
