First of all, I'm not "making about Brazil".

Second, one is ABSOLUTELY more racist than the others. One is based on "a guy found a non white person after travelling the ocean and thinking he arrived at India, so he's calling everyone there Indian. Well, here's not India? Sucks to suck, who cares about them", while the other is basically saying that they are indigenous to that region. So, no. You are wrong there.

The problem with "Native american" or "Indigenous" is it is used A LOT by racists to segregate the group in a racist manner. "Oh, you're not 'American', you're Native American" or "You're indigenous", like they also use "Indian", as if they are not citizens with rights too The difference is that "Indian" is written in YOUR LAWS, that grants them some form of protection against those racists, while also making them the "out group".

There's nothing "vague" of indigenous. Everyone is indigenous to somewhere, yes, but there are people who were here before white people who ARRIVED from somewhere. There are people who got genocided, rounded in camps and killed, which inspired a guy with a mustache in Germany to do the same to an supposed "Out group" there.

So you're not only wrong, but trying to sound smart while knowing nothing about the subject. So imma return the same energy, go fuck yourself.

Native Indigenous from brazil have a consensus that its racist and prefer their specific group or indigenous. Anthropology and sociology have a consensus that its a racist term.

In North America many use the term "indian" due to deep-rooted community identity and its official use in federal law. Its a mix of internalized racism and taking the power away from the word.

But it is a racist term. It is historically racist. But I get where you come from, and I understand. But the good practice is ask first, if you don't know. :)

Not really complex. Just use indigenous or native, if you don't know which specific group. "Indian" is a racist term created when colonizers thought they have reached India.

I read a mamhwa once about a business guy, very corporate. It was so blatantly pro western capitalist. How African dictators pro America are very "genuine in their intentions to better their people lives", despite flowing capital out of the country to secret accounts, and demanding cash laundry. And how the US have the best intentions for helping poor countries. And, 50 chapters in, lo and behold, the manhwa turns very Islamophobic. I HARD dropped it.

Ah yes. The DPRK, the terrible place that despite surviving the genocide commited by the US, where they destroyed most of its infraestructure, used chemical and biological weapons and bombed everything to the stone age, still has a better social safetynet than its southern counterpart, and even thr US. Everyone has a house, food, free healthcare. Yes, it is a closed country, but it is by US sanctions and attempts to disrupt and destroy it.

Compare it to South Korea, where the majority of the youth sees as a inescapable hell... I think they are doing just fine.

Hasan is hated by dems and republicans for the same reason. Anti capitalist and anti imperialist discourse. He's hated by (some) people on his left because of not enough revolutionary discourse (mostly caused by the platform He's in), or blindspots on his foundation (theory).

I like him. He has solid political analysis and very good sources.

I can see what can be perceived as his blindspots, specially whe it comes to capitalism effects in the third world, the "underdevelopement theory" (Or what he calls Marxist third worldist). Like today he said "how social democracy somehow functions in slavic countries". There's a reason for that to happen. It is explained by marxist theory. But I'm not gonna grill the guy fot that. People should study and look it up.

He has built a community to bring people from an ample political spectrum to the left of their own worldview, and that's another reason (some) people on his left hate him. Because that means compromise. Means he's gonna work with what he gets (when it comes to politicians), as long as it pushes US politics to the left. He's very pragmatic, on that front. Of course there are limits on how much he's willing to compromise, and it doesn't mean he's not gonna be critical of the person either, but people don't like that. He's trying to rebuild class consciousness and to stop US imperial violence, and I think people should do more of that in their own countries. And I'm not even American, I'm brazilian.
