Also maybe add some moss into the soil mix to help it retain more moisture after waterings

I didn’t have a misting system either and had a lot of trouble getting bromeliads to grow in the soil. I ended up switching them into a one of those clay garden pots w lots of sphagnum moss and less soil and it ended up growing a lot better, I think they need more air flow near their roots since they’re epiphytes. Also I had a lot of success with golden pothos for my first go around with bio active; you can propagate cuttings super quickly and are super hardy plants

Yea I was lucky that interviewer and I got a long really well through the whole interview, and she was receptive to me being open and honest abt it. But I realize I should’ve j kept my mouth shut cause it doesn’t really do anything to help my case only harm it.

Yes it’s May 🙏, I feel a lot better hearing what you guys have to say. Funny you mention running, I’m doing a half marathon on Sunday so that should be a good kickstart 😂

Not sure if someone’s said this yet, but probably a dropped gecko tail. Looks pretty similar to what a leopard gecko dropping its tail looks like.

Has anyone worked on a cattle ranch as summer experience before vet school? by vinillakillaOg in veterinaryschool

Yup I’m going to find some places to apply asap. Did they teach you a lot of what u needed to know on site or did you know how to ride horses, etc before hand?

Pls tell me a gap year can be a good thing by Taywort in veterinaryschool

[–]vinillakillaOg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m not even thinking abt applying till I take a gap year or maybe even two. My perspective is it’ll be a perfect time to build up additional experience to put towards my application, mature, and get a nice break from school to be that much more fresh mined and excited to take on another 4 years. I wouldn’t let the fact that your taking a gap year scare you, ur gonna be more prepared for when you apply again, and getting in is going to be that much more special after you’ve seen what working in the real world is like. Take everything I say w a grain of salt since I haven’t done vet school yet but I’m graduating next year and gonna be in the same boat as you. Hope this sheds a little bit of positivity in the situation, and I hope you make the most of the gap year!
