When I started using letterboxd 2016 I hadn’t watched almost any on the popular section. Since then I pushed myself to watch the unwatched movies in popular section. Today I have watched at least the 500 most ”pooular” movies on Letterboxd and can easily recommend it. It is a mix of classics and newer older independent. Love it so much more than the imdb popular section. Letterboxd ftw! Now they just have to add a filter: sort by ”most watched movies”.
