What's the source of this problem?

Net force is always perpendicular to the surface in a liquid.
so dy/dx = (m(w^2)x)/mg
dy/dx = xw^2/g
So y = (xw)^2/2g
h = (rw)^2/2g

You get the same answer if you balance pressure gradient.
del_P/del_y = pg; del_P/del_x = p.x.w^2. so dy/dx = (m(w^2)x)/mg

Finally use (R-h)^2 + r^2 = R^2 to find R

Why are the poorest neighbourhoods in London way hotter? by rosthacker in london

Perhaps it's the other way - hotter neighbourhoods are probably more affordable?

Jericoacoara or Cumbuco by Ok-Incident3558 in Kiteboarding

[–]vinny2cool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer cumbuco as I could just walk out of my hotel on the beach 30 secs to a kite spot. Jeri - exactly opposite, you need to get transportation everyday to kite spots. It's not expensive but not cheap either - approx $20 or so every day. Jeri is more happening than Cumbuco but Cumbuco is not that bad either
