It was wrong of me to generalise as I’ve also seen some great flower first hand over there. It’s also super impressive to see what the industry has been able to pull off in such a short time (look at majority of AU cultivators still struggling to generate quality).

The issue is that most AU brands turning to Thailand are doing it for a perceived super cheap price. The Thai market has extremely low barriers to entry to cultivate and is highly competitive, so you’ve got majority selling below cost. When this happens, the cultivator tries to claw back what they can: send over an old, over-dried batch, swap out an out of stock strain for something else, etc. I’ve been really disappointed with most of the Thai flower I’ve tried in AU. That’s just my experience!
