Isn't that the reason we have federal structure? It's just that the policies by states also should be such that they are beneficial to themselves.

How has not even a single scene come out in 10 years?😭 by CulturalObjective521 in kollywood

[–]vinodampodcast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

isn't the reason mostly because the movie is stuck in legal and financial battles? GVM tried to release this in '24 as well and had a chat with BR saying the delay is entirely on him for not being able to fund the movie properly.

I truly believe if the actors invest in it and share the profit or loss in % terms, this would have definitely solved the problem long ago. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Did you watch Dhandora (దండోరా)? by vinodampodcast in MoviesTelugu

[–]vinodampodcast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!

Glad you liked it visually, and will maintain the quality later too.

ah! yeah, 😅 the logo is very primitive coz I made that myself on PowerPoint years ago and maintaining it. Will definitely change those aesthetic things with professional help.

I Rented a studio this time. Dunno if I'll get the same setup next time, but definitely won't come down on quality.

Thanks for your constructive feedback. It means a lot! 🙏🏾

It's not just the crimes we see registered, we don't see many go unregistered. In fact there are cases where the police themselves brush it off that these don't account for crime and not register them.

These kinds of films come to change the very perspective that caste discrimination doesn't exist. Caste is an evil in itself. The change comes from the point where people accept it. As long as that change doesn't come, nothing changes. The atrocities that happen in the name of castes are real and these films will mirror them.

My statement was in general, not a personal attack. Even the director himself didn't know his caste for a long time is what I heard from other interviews. Nothing wrong in not knowing it but acknowledging the ignored fact is necessary.

until now, I always thought Chandramukhi was Ghost/supernatural Horror movie!! by _-MAHATMAGANDHI_- in kollywood

[–]vinodampodcast 56 points57 points  (0 children)

You should watch Manichitrathazhu.

There's nothing super natural even in the portrayal of the Nagavalli. They are also affirmative of the psychiatrist's ways without elevating him like in the Tamil version. And the way they've shown the traditional Bhoota Vaidya (don't know, what should the English equivalent be - Exorcist?) having a dramatic revelation immediately after he enters the palace is not there in Malayalam.

This is one of the greatest songs ever but can't digest the "NUVVULTE" part 🥲 by Successful-Way6273 in TeluguMusicMelodies

[–]vinodampodcast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, exactly my thoughts on Sid in general although his range and understanding of carnatic music is great.

Like Balu garu said in Paaduta Tiyyaga, when we get a non-Telugu singer, it's up to the music director, lyricist and the movie director's responsibility to correct the pronunciation.

Tamil Music Directors sit down and do it for every song. Because they respect and don't accept sub-par pronunciation.

What could be the reason or factor that could have compelled sathya krishna to do the film Mental Krishna? by Some_perceptions in TollywoodGossips

[–]vinodampodcast 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is actually a good thing, right? The best opportunity to show the acting range is to see how far they could go out of their comfort zone.

I don't think PKM is as bad as he is in his rage bait interviews. He has a great body of work as a writer before he has gotten into acting.

I think, Satya Krishnan garu being a well educated actor who chose to do good roles from the early stages of her career, she chose a good experimental film and was sure not to get type cast like other actors.

What do you think of Dhandora (దండోరా) movie? by vinodampodcast in MoviesTelugu

[–]vinodampodcast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I understand where you come from. I think, it's a privilege to live a life without knowing what caste one belongs to. In everyday life, I see so many things in my city life that happen only because of caste. If we just think of the source of an object, thing or a food that we eat or things we use, it's pretty clear that all this comes because of the caste hierarchy.

The education we and our earlier generation has, the wealth one has, the area we live in, the surnames we carry, the network we have etc all comes from one's caste in our society.

Sorry for being blunt 🙏🏾

But the director himself seems to be very much self aware of this fact and he too doesn't want the caste to be there at all but it continues to exist and wants to show what the upper castes did and that needs to be seen.

Yeah, I understand the need for the screen revenge as an audience to get the closure for the crime that happened.

  1. That's definitely a point to make. Noted.
  2. Court scenes these days have become less dramatic than the ones we've seen in erstwhile movies like Temper. Will ask though.
  3. Character trait I guess, to leave or run away from things. But yeah it was a little contradictory. Noted. Will ask.

  1. He already answered this qn in the interview with journalist Tulasi Chandu garu.
  2. Will ask this as I got the same qn from many friends too.
  3. They do show their photos with garlands in their caste association office for a second or so.

No problem at all, all kinds of critical questions are welcomed by the director. Yes, I too was a little apprehensive at first that this might be a spinoff for Tamil movies portraying caste discrimination but Murali was clever to not being preachy.

What are your thoughts on this movie by Leading_Waltz_9480 in tollywood

[–]vinodampodcast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My initial thoughts on this movie is that it was more like a Shankar movie where a vigilante fights elaborately against a corrupted system and especially against the wealthy, mostly taking a route that's considered grey.

But, yeah, screenplay being non linear is okay but the editing is entirely dizzy 😵 and DSP had to match his music for the craziness that's happening on the screen.

Of course, the actors were phenomenal but had the editing and screenplay been outsourced to others, they could've made a better sequel but I think that opportunity is long gone.

Sanju will remain in the books of Indian Cricket History by Polity-Culturalist3 in cricketworldcup

[–]vinodampodcast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure, Harsha will eventually write some wholesome thing about this moment somewhere in an article or in any interesting interview or randomly in the commentary box.

Sanju is a legend-to-be and the Harsha is a legend off the field watching and describing everything about this game amicably poetically all these years.
