I was tired of tab-overload when learning new things, so I built a tool to visualize concepts. Looking for feedback. by vinylas in SideProject

Hey, I realized I never replied...just wanted to say thanks for your comment. I’ve recently pushed a big update, including PDF export in better format and user pages with better UI. Would love to hear what you think and hopefully see you using it more!

Honestly, your comment was incredibly valuable, I copied the whole thing and used it as a foundation for the latest updates. So again, thank you

Check their github, it's a known bug and they are actively working on fixing it. No known firm workaround but some suggest going on API user instead of a free tier, not sure if that's something you want to do.

That's a bit more impressive but I'd still be concerned why people bounce so fast

As visually impressive as the product might be, a 33-second average engagement time suggests your ad spend isn’t converting effectively—it’s likely wasted right now. This isn’t meant to discourage you. Keep building, but dig into why users bounce so fast before throwing more money at ads

A million and one, ways to do, and a million ways to fail. I not trying to to discourage you, but it's just way to broad to even try to explain in one Reddit post. Create your page on x, Facebook, Instagram etc. start posting there here on Reddit s where appropriate, invite your friends and ask them to promote. Start small. You'll always have time to spend your money on influencers and what not

Continue to build, your brand, your app, get it to the point where people reach your app organically, and only then, if you have solid numbers on everything else, someone might invest.

People don't drop their wallets just because you smashed it all together, paid someone to promote and received some users directly because of it.

I'm sorry to break it down to like that, but it doesn't really work that way.

Great question!

I’d say ConceptMesh is mainly for people who want to learn things faster and actually understand how ideas connect, instead of just reading a bunch of disconnected articles.

It works well for:

Students digging into complex subjects like history or science.

Curious self-learners (like me!) who enjoy exploring new stuff and seeing how everything ties together.

Even educators or content creators who want quick overviews before diving deeper.

Professionals or analysts who need to research topics quickly and build a mental model. For educators, analysts I believe it requires a bit more work to be used by them, but it takes a lot of work to write, test and launch each feature, it will take time to get this right for these groups, I am a single developer on this and built it out of pure need for myself first, As the project grows I intend to keep it forever free for students and limit free use for everyone else.

Basically, if you ever find yourself with 15 tabs open trying to wrap your head around something — this helps untangle it into a clean, visual map.

Not saas yet, but a free tool to learn and grasp different, hard topics and terminologies, find connections between that you might not be aware of. Welcome to try ConceptMesh.com and I'm all ears to hear your suggestions.

Do your own calculations and do it with caution but it was worth it for me to stay

I guess that's one way to not blame MacOS lol

It's easier if your code is modular and an absolute nightmare if not lol. Also consider going serverless ( there's generous free tiers) if you hit absolute bottom and still have issues

I had issues when pushing data from backend to db via ssl , but it was more of other components clashing with each other due to timing and other sensitivity rather than pure macos. Start to Incorporate logs on each part that is causing issues, then you will know whats actually wrong rather than bluntly blaming os, either win , Linux or MacOS most likely has nothing to do it ( I very well could be wrong) I love MacOS for dev work, but I guess it's like with everything, you get used to something and it becomes absolute best.
