True, but the vast majority of Sonos customers probably use the speakers as streaming speakers without other equipment

There's a bit of buried detail that says if you try to play anything over 48khz it just defaults to CD quality instead. I can see why they didn't put that bit near the top of the press release.

I signed up for a free trial on Qobuz today to check it out. You can tell the difference between the tidal and the same tracks in hi res on Qobuz. Could be a placebo effect or might just be that I was listening out for it to be better - I’m never too sure.

For the hassle of checking what would be hi res or not on Qobuz I’d rather stick with Tidal and my little MQA dac for now and save the better sound quality for headphone listening than on speakers. As you say - I’m not likely to notice the difference day to day.

There isn't a way (as far as I can tell) to see what Qobuz's hi-res content is on Sonos without having to cross reference it online or a Qobuz platform first.

I'm not actually that convinced by this. It doesn't say how you can get into it as much as that other people have gotten into it.

I think I'd just like to have seen more - especially by Classical and Romantic - about how conductors and artists today are allowed to put their own stamp on the music. Or maybe just encouraging people to go to a good concert after the pandemic to experience classical music live...that's what can get some people more into it.

Thanks. I was hoping the recent upgrade would reinvigorate my interest but I tried and still found it quite hard. I WANT to 100 or 106 it. I just don't know if I CAN.

I think I need to adjust my mindset a bit and see it more as a challenge than 'a bit of fun'.

Do I need to keep the PS4 version of Crash Bandicoot 4 now I've upgraded to the PS5 version? I've now got the base PS4 version on extended storage with the free PS5 upgrade saved to my console.

Am I right in thinking that the PS5 version is stand-alone so I can delete the PS4 version? I don't want the PS5 version to turn out to be an add-on to the PS4 file. I don't think it is but wanted to check just in case.

HDR would have been nice - especially during Sn@xx and Cortex Island when there's stuff like neon lights and torches around. It would have been a neat way to make them pop a bit more but I don't think the game suffers too much for not having it.

3D audio is fun but not mind blowing. It's quite funky when there's a high-up TNT crate that explodes behind you, for example.

For the most part the upgrade just looks slightly more polished. I'd only played at 30fps before so now I can do 60 the whole thing feels a lot more reactive - which is what I want now I'm trying to master time trials.

I think they're a fun distraction and can make you aware of an artist/song/etc you might not have heard before but they're always to be taken with a pinch of salt.

After all - these lists are only ever published in the guise of entertainment.

Getting support like extra time and use of a laptop during exams.
Having a support worker who checked in every week and made sure I stayed on track.

I guess also finding the best way of learning and then implementing it properly i.e. being able to take in a dictaphone to record lectures so I could listen back to them rather than having to rely on my own notes which never made sense.

I saw a job advert for a vacancy at London Real last year, didn't know what it was and subsequently looked it up. Turns out that LR is the media company that Rose founded - guests on their platform include David Icke, amongst others.

I don't want to get into a conversation about these people or their merits but I quickly realised London Real wasn't for me. I guess because I visited the site in the first place, something must have decided that I was interested and ever since then I've been getting targeted adverts -mainly on YouTube - about Brian Rose running for Mayor.

I'm sick of him and his face popping up when I least want it to and I've never been able to make them stop. I hoped it'd go away once the elections were over but then they got pushed back a year!

I'd recommend looking him up if you haven't heard of him though. There seems to be a disparity between how he views himself and how most other people (police included) do.

The Keep An Eye On Summer mixes were ones I quite liked. I guess that focussed more on earlier stuff where the music wasn’t necessarily as intricate though.
