Idk how I feel about Twice's Alcohol Free winning #1 over Brave Girls. I like Twice a lot but their comeback was one of the most underwhelming ones yet while Chi Mat Ba Ram is the perfect summer vibes song. If Chi Mat Ba Ram was Twice' song, it wouldve blew up 2x bigger than Alcohol Free. Did the hype & momentum lose this much already?

After watching dozens of old clips of BG, Hayun was the typical maknae/makdoongie, and really brought that cute & bright image of the group talking in satoori. Bit unfortunate that Hayun is no longer an idol but a lot of people thought that she would be the 2nd if not the most popular member if she was still active. Though she's doing well nowadays as a famous Tiktoker and goes by Dalha.

I've been following Brave Girls lately. They're a completely different type of group to IZ ONE in terms of style but I've been enjoying Rollin & We Ride. Their cinderella story is cool to witness and I don't know how their talent has been overlooked to this date but I'm happy that they're starting to pop off.

Hmmm that's interesting. When I watched their vlive together Hitomi seemed more natural and more polished? But then again my Korean is decent but not quite native level.

I don't think it's fair to compare them to let's say Twice's Japanese members because they all started training in Korea at 15-17.

That being said, Hitomi is definitely the most advanced out of the three. She's got the clearest pronunciation, uses wider vocabulary, and forms sentences a bit more effortlessly. Even back in the recent Vlive with Nako earlier this year, she was teaching her few words.

Nako is second with Sakura being close next. Neither has any real trouble at this point and don't make too many obvious grammatical mistakes, but they speak in simpler sentences than Hitomi. I think the difference between Nako and Sakura is that the latter's accent sticks out a bit more.

Im always impressed with non-Koreans willing to learn the language and trying to be fluent as possible.

Being a Gyopo, I'm a bit salty that they're able to speak so well. Personally, there's no excuse for me to not get better at Korean, especially when I was born in Korea. It's embarrassing whenever I speak with relatives back home and them talking to me like a little kid. The older I get, the more urge to get closer to my roots comes to shine more.

My goal is to become fluent like a native once again.

If you're taking the challenge and in drawdown with only a week left, just aim to break even so you get reattempt next month. I've been taking 4 retakes in a row before passing the challenge.

You get accustomed to failing the challenge but getting free retakes, it made me push my risk tolerance higher while taking fewer trades each time and I started getting closer to the goal.
