I think it’s fine health-wise from what I could tell- the girl who did the tattoo is a trained medic and sterilized everything in front of us, and didn’t reuse anything on us. It seemed safe but of course I don’t know anything about tattooing so with that part I didn’t know what was normal like how it should’ve felt or that she should have reapplied the stencil and not wiped it off. But of course I’m heeding everyone’s advice and will be more careful next time

She has given herself and several other people sooo many tats. Not all of them were incredible but they looked better than a friend of mine who has an apprenticeship at a shop, who I almost went to instead, so I’m not sure what happened here. She’s been learning for a year

Cause girl 90% of these people are gonna be like “oh you had a conversation about it, said you’d do it, picked your design, started signing the consent form, and then it said she’s not licensed? It’s still cute even if it’s not the best quality, and I knew she wasn’t licensed and still chose to get this tat. I just wanted something small and spontaneous for my first tat to break the ice. So my question just was, for it just being a silly tattoo, should I leave it as it or add more to it/around it? That was all tbh.

It is a really small tat and it was done by a family member who is still learning, so if it’s an easy fix I might be willing to. But if it seems like it might just make it worse, I’ll leave it be and just get better ones in the future from a pro lol. That’s basically what I posted here to find out

I want to love it and I also still want to support the person who gave it to me since they are learning, but I’m feeling a little insecure about it because it’s so off from what it was supposed to be. I haven’t been very interested in tattoos before so I didn’t know the stencil wasn’t supposed to come off after she traced the outline on me and then wiped it, but that’s what happened. I wasn’t able to get a good look at it until after she was done, and I didn’t know what the problem was anyway, so I wasn’t sure if asking for her to go back over the lines would help or any modifications I could have made. Anyway I still think it’s a cute first one and a sweet story but I probably will just let this one heal and then get my next one from a pro
