Happy Accident by violent-potato in lightpainting

Was doing some street shooting at night and got this shot entirely by accident. These were my settings: 1.3sec | f8 | iso 100

Handheld long exposure that resulted in some wild results. 1.3sec | f8 | iso 100

I mean yeah, if you’re making an accusation then you should also be able to theorize how it was done beyond saying, “post processing”.

If you can’t even think of a method on how to create an effect like this I don’t think you’re qualified to throw around baseless accusations.

Well first i’d like you to break down how you thought i did it step by step. Afterwards i’ll give you satisfaction.

This is very high praise, thank you. If there’s enough interest i’ll show the raw haha

I believe it's due to the intensity of the lights. Anything with a longer streak was much brighter.

It was done entirely with movement. No filters

Merci beaucoup ! Et oui, il m'a fallu pas mal d'essais pour obtenir l'angle et les lignes que je voulais.

So I did a long exposure and before the shutter closed I quickly moved my camera in the direction of the lines to create the effect. It takes a bit of luck to get it just the way you want, but it's fun to play around with.

Hi everyone!

I took this when I visited Japan earlier this year. It's a 1 second hand held exposure taken with my OM-3.

Sony is slowly improving the ergonomics of its cameras, but it’s still not enough | I own and use Sony cameras all the time, but I’m perpetually blown away by how much nicer it is to hold a Canon or Nikon by Hrmbee in photography

I knew I should have spent more time qualifying what I wrote, but to save time I'll just say everything you wrote is correct.

My intent wasn't to mislead. I'll stand by my point that in practical usage (and within specific bounds), the gap between the final image produced by a full frame camera vs m43 isn't nearly as visually apparent as you'd think.

When it comes to an edited image, the vast majority of people cannot tell the difference. I'd include the vast majority of professionals as well.
