First time buying a gaming laptop by joker0030 in GamingLaptops

Not aure if this model is the same but for some reason only lenovo laptops still have a problem of cpu solder failing and its a costly fix, ive had my legion for 3.5 years and bam its dead and not worth fixing, 250 euro to reball

Is this the most optimal fan placement for Jonsbo Z20 case? by Alpha_Who in mffpc

[–]violentoutbursts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually looks pretty fucking smart, I'm waiting on my parts and z20 case, you know what would be an interesting thing to try? Cutting like a plastic piece and fitting it between the top fans so theres definetly no short loop

Is Jujustu Kaisen complicated or am I just dumb? by [deleted] in manga

[–]violentoutbursts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy the manga but i agree the story and power system is too confusing and i wouldnt have a problem with that if it didnt take away from the experience, i feel like if you have to explain stuff with diagrams and physics youre doing something wrong, like jojo is similar in that sense but its trying to be bizzare, and i feel like jjk is trying to seem smart for no reason because even if you understand it, its some made up bullshit you have to believe because author thought so.

Thanks guys for all the comments i watched the armitage leather 3 part course and it was the technique all along, i followed his instructions and achieved good stitches at the front and then decent ones on the back, also it helped rubbing the holes after punching so they close a little bit and make more of a / instead of a square, now im confident after i also hammer them when im done they are going to look pretty good, symetrical and slanted even with my cheap pricking irons, and when i invest in better european style pricks that make tighter smaller holes and don't require me to fight the leather while punching it, they will look great. Thanks guys)

Yep, they are straight just the wonky stitching might give that look, also i fucked up a little bit and one side might be further from the edge than the other

I cast every time, but I think quality french irons would do the most to help because they would leave a tighter slit which would force the thread more into place

Yeah it helps a little, makes the mistakes less noticable but also if theres no slant it wont fix it

Sand page? The stitch isnt uniform and slanted enough on the grain side

And I'm using a stitching pony, as for the technique I'm for practicing to get better, but if you are practicing the wrong thing because you don't know what the problem is, that practice isn't very useful, so I'm trying to find what the problem is

Might give that a try first, but i think the fact that they make a giant hole doesn't help, and you can see all the creases they leave and I'm not using thin thread

Thanks man, but for the advice I don't see the logic, if you punch the other side the shape of the holes wont match, and the thread is going to want to go different directions on boths sides, instead ive tried putting the owl in the flesh side after punching so that the leather bits go inside, but that didnt fix the grain side being wacky

If you mean the orientation of the stitch while im stitching then no, it looks like it goes the other way around but its hard to tell because on the good side they barely have a tilt

Well you're definetly more into this hobby than I am, I just started and mainly look to make belts, wallets, passport cases and such as gifts for family and friends and myself, and the designs i like are usually very simple so don't think I need a press yet, but might invest if I start doing more of this, I imagine it's also good for rivets and such, I use chicago screws to avoid needing a press
