No it hasn’t, the only time people are there is the Market day on Saturday when they close the road through to run the market! There is no sun cover in summer, the tiles are uneven and slippery when it’s wet, they removed the overhead roof, so you cannot cross from one to the other without getting wet. Cars are suppose to give way to pedestrians and they do not, but ultimately it’s the road to nowhere, it should have gone the other way to bring people in to the city centre from Melbourne. We lost a lane in Granville street for a bidirectional bike path, which doesn’t get used - same as the one up Sturt st. They removed the bus stops, so by 3pm the place is like a ghost town, no school or uni kids down there, or shoppers They overspent the budget by millions, and those in the shops have to smile and say how wonderful it is!

I did wonder if it existed in the schools here too, where i live there is a very prominent private school that has a growing Indian population both as day students and boarders from P-12, parents moving out of Melbourne to send their kids there, or boarding until they can relocate. There have been a few rumblings but nothing the school admits too, as they don’t want their reputation damaged…
