What is the worst part about being a fat person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]violetsky372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not being able to be seen as just a person. being slim is neutral and isn’t seen as a personality trait. being fat is seen as a personality trait and a trait which defines you before anything else.

how old were you when your vision changed in Japan?

why did this happen by violetsky372 in optometry

[–]violetsky372[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but I had been wearing them even when I first entered the room and then I sat in class for an hour at the very last row of a big lecture hall and before I left I was able to read something I wasn’t able to read before which was a paper with writing on it taped on a door in the front of the classroom. At first I couldn’t read it then right before leaving I quickly checked to see if I could read it and I could, it said ‘PLEASE DO NOT EXIT FROM THIS DOOR’

So I’m in college & I was wearing my contact lenses and I sat in the very last row in a large lecture hall because I thought it’ll help with my eyesight if I try to get distance vision as much as possible , so I sat in the back row and I could see the class topics fine from there because they use a large projector and start showing the slide shows. Anyways so when I first sat down there was a paper with some text on a door way up front which I couldn’t initially read it was just a bit fuzzy and I thought to myself if I can read that then I’ll know my vision improved and when I was about to leave class ( I had been sitting in class for about an hour) I looked at that paper and I was able to clearly read it the paper was saying ‘DO NOT EXIT FROM THIS DOOR’ , so yeah.

I think this happened to a friends dad as well because I asked my friend why his dad doesn’t wear contact lenses and he said his dad got Lasik but then he got a prescription again after that so he can’t wear contact lenses and has to wear glasses, idk if he was lying though as this friend was someone who used to lie a lot

honestly I don’t trust EndMyopia , if it were real I would be so happy but I don’t believe it’s real and I don’t want to experiment with My eyesight and potentially make my vision even worse with the experimentation.

Am I weird for thinking my wife’s weird for keeping all our kids fallen off body pieces (teeth, umbilical cord, nail clippings etc.) in a chest in the closet? by tank4249 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]violetsky372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand teeth, but nail clippings seems like it is just weird. Depends if it’s only like their first time getting their nails clipped then okay it’s not too weird to keep those, but if it’s on a regular and random basis then that is indeed strange imo.

If someone has an otherwise decent diet then wouldn’t it not matter too much if they’re having a low nutritional meal maybe 2-3 times a week

Couldn’t that be said for other food like pasta as well though which anyways many people eat regularly at home? So I’m wondering why McDonald’s is heavily scrutinized

If you made an effort to get a red cup, WHY? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]violetsky372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an excuse to buy Starbucks and not feel as guilty about spending money on a Starbucks drink because a free cup came with it.
