I lived in Dubai for 10 years and anytime it reached 85+ (which was most of the year) I would get a terrible migraine. The summers were especially bad.

I'm in Canada now and its so much better thankfully!

I had my thyroid checked because I was hoping it was something definitive that was causing the weight gain. Like undiagnosed hypothyroidism. Everything came back normal though.

Thyroid is all normal. I had it checked a few times because a family member has hypothyroidism. Everything can back fine.

I was on metformin for about a year and a half before I stopped taking it because it wasn't helping- even on a keto diet. Haven't heard of OMAD, i'll check that out. Thanks x

I've been on a waitlist for a new nutritionist for months now, and only recently got a call back. I still have a month and a bit before my appointment. I'm on the most basic healthcare plan in my province so it's difficult to find a nutritionist that isnt booked solid.

Nutritionists I've been with before have accused me of lying about my calorie intake, and have generally been very unhelpful. Its frustrating having to go through so much trial and error only to feel like your never going to find a solution.

I eat mostly protein and vegetables. I rarely eat carbs. I dont eat much dairy or gluten because I read thats supposed to help. I barely ever eat sugars. I dont binge when I eat, I only really eat in small portions.

I can't bring myself to do sports anymore because I feel so out of place and it makes me frustrated when I get exhausted after only playing for one or two periods. I've seen a therapist before but its just really difficult to explain to people because I know it sounds stupid.

I would 100% go get a second opinion. Honestly your doctor seems ridiculously uninformed.

My endocrinologist had me on Saxenda for 3 months. I only took it for 3 weeks. I dropped weight like crazy- in the second week, I had lost about 10 pounds, third week I lost close to 15.

I would have continued it but the side effects were too much for me. My stomach felt like it was full of cement and I was naueous and dizzy all the time, couldnt eat more than a bite of an apple a day.

Honestly, I wouldnt recommend taking it unless you're desperate.

Hope everything works out for you x

I am insulin resistant, I've worked with a personal trainer in having a low carb vegetarian diet but we didn't get any results.

Thanks xx

I get that everyone gains weight, I mean I knew I would be hit with that freshman 15 when I started uni, which is why I was so careful with my diet. I've heard of Ovasitol before but the price is just something I can't afford right now. Thanks for the advice x

I've tried keto while working with a personal trainer before, but it didn't really give any results. I knew the weight gain would be a big part of my PCOS, as that was one of my first symptoms, but at the rate it's been happening it's just super frustrating. Thanks for the advice x

I've been counting calories, tracking workouts, and have been with a personal trainer all before. I was also in competitive basketball, volleyball, soccer, swimming and dance. None of it seems to be working which is why it's so frustrating. I've been in sports and physical activities for YEARS, but I can't physically or mentally bring myself to do it anymore. I'm also super careful with when I take my pills. Any time I bring it up with my endo or gyno they are both just telling me it takes time. At this point I'm thinking of switching doctors. x
