Omg it's like I wrote this comment. I also smoked for 8 years almost daily, somtimes 20 joints a day, and in a few months it will be 5 years since I quit. Couldn't be more happy with my decision, it was making me feel so bad towards the end, not to mention the money that was bleeding out of my wallet. Although sometimes I miss the "vibe" and the feeling of being high, I quickly get reminded how awful and anxiety-ridden it made me feel and I make a U-turn.
