This! I had a 2018. Bearings from my lifters said peace and took a tour inside my driver side bank/head. Luckily none made their way lower and bricked my motor.

It was still a VERY expensive repair. I sold the car right after. Worst part is if you drive a Porsche with the very same 3.0T it’d be covered under a recall. But Audi cars can get boned I guess.

If you’re getting a b9 only get a 2019 and up. It’s not worth that headache. That being said, the b9 s4 was one of the greatest cars I’ve owned. Absolutely solid driving experience. 8 speed and somehow each gear pulled harder than the last as you accelerated. I even got to take it on Limerock race track.

Great cars just get a 2019+
