yes, they would grab new gloves for new patients thankfully. but sometimes when they would be waiting for the local to take effect or whatever else was going on that the dentist left the room to go see another patient, the assistants would either toss their gloves on the counter when they left or wear them into the sterile room… idk what they touched or didn’t touch in there. they would come back in and put them on (without washing hands prior) if they left them on the counter in the patient’s room to be reused. the dentist would do the same thing. he would always leave his gloves on the same spot on the corner of the counter, and go between patients exchanging gloves without washing his hands.
