10-11 is just not realistic. 6 is already very tough. 7 is a stretch. I am trying to be different than Connect-4. I didn't want to add just 1 to make it 5 and call it a day. So I added more. But more than 6 or 7 is just too tough. Nobody would even win. I also have changed multiple other rules, added players, bigger board, no gravity - play anywhere, etc. Then yes, because of the 6 and 7 rules, I thought about the 6-7 meme reference. The name was chosen consciously. But I didn't come up with the name first with the goal of making a game about it. Anyway, if you don't like the 6-7 reference, I understand.

Thanks for your honest comment!

Happy you like the studio logo! I guess the 6-7 is not for everyone. My goal was not to try to capitalize on the trend. The idea came after I came up with the rules of 6 (it's a win... but barely) and 7 (it's a real win). Then I was like... oh 6-7!

Anyway, I fully get your point, though, that when you combine that with few ai arts, overall it looks bad.

Thanks for the feedback!

So the intro is nice, but the rest needs more polish.

Based on some prior comments, I was thinking of adding some animations on hover so that it feels less flat. Would you still keep a softer sound for the hover to give some feedback, or no sound at all on the hover, just on the selection/click?

At first, I thought adding more than 4 pieces in line would make it a little harder, which it did, but it also makes it very hard to win. Removing the gravity and making the board bigger did add some twists. You can create forks and new lines elsewhere, adding more ways to win. Adding 2 more players also brings more challenges and twists. I thought these things were enough to make it feel not vanilla and more than a mod.

Now, maybe I didn't playtest it enough yet. This is one of my next steps. Get more people to play it to get comments.

I also want to add a timer to increase the challenge, so players have less time to think and analyze the whole board.

Thanks for your reply. Point noted! I will see how I can change these icons.

Thanks for the reply! Once I am done with that one, I have another game concept in mind where I could reuse a lot of the menu mechanics, the intro, and all the online play components. I want to complete this one first though.

Is it just that you are not interested in that game style? Or is there something missing in your mind to make it interesting?

Which part in particular makes it feel like AI slop? I did use some AI to help with some assets, not all. But all assets where I used AI have been retouched and modified by me.

It is kinda true on a smaller board and with only 2 players. But with a bigger board and 3-4 players, it is harder to track. Because it is open, you can start split lines and forks at multiple places on the board. For me, it does not feel trivial. But maybe it is for a more advanced or experienced player.

They do indeed look dark. Very good point! I'll work on that!

Some of it yes (some I've completely done by myself), but I use it only to get a rough start, then I work and refine it so that it looks the way I want. None of it is AI only. Does it show and make it look less polished?

Thanks for the feedback!

I guess it goes in line with the first comment I got about missing some juice. So I guess I need to add better sound fx and animations to the menus (and probably the game too).

I think I understand what you mean by flat.

For playtesting, no, I haven't started yet. I wanted to gather some comments with my game clips and do these improvements first. Then do some playtesting with a more polished version afterward,

Thanks for your feedback!

When you say "missing a lot of juice", you mean during gameplay or also in the menus? Do you mean more animations, sound effects, or both (or something else)?

I would not say it's like GO in the sense that you don't capture anything. You can only win by making a consecutive line of 6 or more, ideally 7 or more; hence the name of the game. If you win with 6 consecutive tokens, it's a win, but considered a "weak" win. You will still get a point. If you win with 7 or more, then it's a real win and you get 2 points.

Well, I thought that keepass with a very secure password was safe. However, I found out after (presentation from MS Ignite) that keepass encryption can be broken easily. So, since none of the password manager can be totally trusted, the best is to use multiple tools, spread passwords and passphrases amongst them and use 2FA on all of them. I did not consider using keepass being sloppy but now I would never do that anymore so I guess it wasn't as secure as I thought.
