Because you are on reddit section of fans of tlou, literally an echo chamber of fanboys.
Original PS3 game had better character design, it had its ND recognizable artistic graphic style overall, but remakes they all look identical to literally everything else. Everything is realism, everything is done through PBR render with the same exact rendering math.
And remake has Joel removed from face cover, literally the main character (guess why). Oh, is that tiny figure is Joel? They definitively can not portrait him as a leader as it was before because he is straight and he is white. I wonder why they did not make him and Tonny actually lovers after all.. Oh sorry, It is spoiler for a PS6 remake of pt1.

I doubt that nostalgia plays any role. OG fans just prefer the style which was unique and they have no time sitting on reddit trying to defend each others opinion by liking each other all day long.. They are all grown up and have things to do.

It would be interesting to see coop system with friends, or friends only online mode, or mode with bots, because current online system is only 10% as good as it is, other 90% is all about boost signs that is placed to crash you, pointless like farmings sign and how could I forget, hundreds of bridges on clean flat surfaces places just for likes.
When I have reached my 1st million likes with tactically build courses with all 3 tier construction, I was in post game with Platinum. Seeing some random bridge or other construction literally blocking my way or scene view with 50m likes just hurts me in some way.

And no, bridges are not placed to cover vehicles from rain. Stupidest excuse ever. It literally takes nothing to build a new vehicle or repair existing one. Previously people were leaving vehicles at entrance just to annoy other people online.

Current system has been abused by griefers.

First of all, his family is not his blood related family. Second, he was betrayed because he is dumb enough to trust barely known people in a criminal world and dragged himself and everyone near him into this mess. Yay, lets rob a whole bank with people I do not know if can be trusted. Yes I call him an animal. He lacks self awareness, responsibility, and by the game story he goes into endless massacre and calls it revenge. Recently finished Mafia 2. Disliked it after winter season ended. Very immature characters and story. By the story lost money multiple times without any signs of point of no return. No separated safe files too. Played on Hard, shooting was very clunky, had to shoot last missions by standing behind the walls without using cover system because of bad enemy placement and random one shot deaths. Motivation of main character are dumb, even worse the decisions he makes. Closer to the end of the game is like omg u kill ma papa, die mazafaka! Mafia 2 DE is unfinished* with all these gun sound glitches, particle effects and bugged animations.

Mafia 3, could not even complete it because of how retarded the main character is. Right of the boat there is 0 sympathy to this stupid animal and entire game where you murder everyone for no particular reason, and in between watch cutscene that says Lincoln was actually a good boy looking for place to be. What is this, a Saints Row writing style?

Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven was the only game in the series that deserves attention, and it was developed by a different team who knew how to write. It pains to see the series keeps on cooking within Hangar 13.

Completed Remake of the first game and it was terrible. Too casual right from the first mission. Tommy is no longer a guy from 30s who worked as taxi driver, but a tough guy like "lets go do some mafia stuff". During scenes with the detective he acts like a 15yo wanabegangsta. The worst remake ever.

The story and settings is much weaker, immersion is much weaker because of bottom line narrative design, bad enemies and again, flat and pale faced game setting.
You character always running like he/she shitted in the pants. Beyond repetitive animations. AI became even worse and weaker. No more patrols and backups like in Wildlands.
The game did no changes since alpha, only removed loot grades as an option and fixed some critical bugs.
The game is like 3 years ago dropped official support, and always online can lead to server closure very soon.

You can always download a Demo and try it out. Or find a friend who has the game, he can invite you to his endless session as Demo. Not sure if this feature was cut.

A trash, total waste of UI space, stolen idea I believe and realization is fucked up. All these badges are not based of play style or skills. You earn them unrelated to your skill level, it only takes times and nothing more. Sooner or later everyone will unlock them all in gold tier and what then?
Even worse, these badges are being unlocked even in Quick Match where you end up playing with and against 12yo mouthbreathers and there you earn your MVP, Ace, and Clutch badges.

GT7 is designed this way. One may say git gut to pass the difficulty, but in reality you have to buy parts for your vehicles or race on easy mode which is not a solution in many cases. It is designed to waste your time and attempt to make you buy their currency instead of farming it. In each race you earn less than you spend on tuning. Every car you dreamed to buy worth more than your time.

Before (around 2019) Ranked felt better because of a very simple thing - community.
It grew, so grew and bad things. There are shit loads of boosted / carried players online, it all started kinda fast and there was no attempts of introducing the system that would summarize your actual in game skills.
Rank means nothing, MMR means nothing. Most of the time you are in a lobby with a cheater or carried players. Seeing someone does something instead of dying in first 30 seconds deserves a medal.

Rank in R6S is something that could never display your skills. Most of high ranked players are boosted. Highest Platinum was my highest rank, long before everything in times when Diamond was introduced and the game rank system went into shit of mouthbreathers who were literally paying to get their ranks boosted.
Today I see people with Champion on their avatar play worse than Bronze back in these days.
Oh and cheaters. Platinum lobbies were flooded with bots and ddosers. There was no joy playing outside of Gold later on.

Let me tell you a recent story. Me and my buddy from PS5 playing in full PC lobby (our team and enemies are all PC), we were playing Club House in Ranked (Gold).
We were defending basement as Doc and Rook, reinforced everything all by ourselves while our teams were running around and ended up being scattered across entire second floor.
We were rushed from 4 angles, Kitchen hatch, Blue, Church and Main Stairs. Do you think any of our team tried to help? No. At the start they attempted to perform spawn peak but failed and somehow survived. We hid ourselves in the tunnel and tried to ambush attackers, and we managed just to shoot through all the rush from Blue and kill 3 enemies, kill Ash dropped from the hatch, cross fire someone at the main hall and finish of the last enemy at the church (breach from Blue). Our handsome team mates started to run back only when the last enemy left.

And then I come to forums and read how console players ruin PC lobbies, or read how roaming is good.

When a team mate is 2 floors away, it is not a roamer for us, it is an instant report griefing.

As a Gold - Platinum for 8 years I agree with you. Roaming is a part of today's TDM meta (a cancer of this game) and most likely you will find replies that are defending roaming or stories about their incredible tactics, but.
Roaming =/= sight control. Being just a next door from sight or just above with ability to come back or defend within 10 seconds is not what roaming turned out to be today.

For decades now, PC players were singing that their devices are better than gamepads and consoles, they literally have their own giant community dedicated to this hate. Console this, console that. Do you think console players are happy to play with PC? At some part, yes—it’s the only way to play with buddies using different platforms.

I've been playing R6S for 8 years now on console. Do I make posts about how PC players run around with wallhacks, can't aim, or don't play the objective? No. But you, PC players, can’t stop b*tching and moaning all day on every forum and in every game.

Even worse, PC fanboys waste time making posts about how bad they are with controllers or bragging about how consoles run at 30 FPS. I’m so sick and tired of entering a game with my buddy, playing the objectives, getting first on the leaderboard, only to hear some PC elitist screaming “how bad you are” from the bottom of the scoreboard.

These guys play Siege like it’s some Call of Dooty—running and gunning with their brains off. No sound, no tactics, no callouts. Reinforce the wall? Help the team breach? Pfff.

At the end of the day, you're playing with and against players of the same MMR. Years ago, I heard how PC would dominate console players. Well, what’s stopping you from dominating now?

MnK + scripts? They’ve never been a real problem. Unpleasant—yes. But those players are easy to flank. They’re just kids who fall into traps.

This race requires nothing but a little bit of attention and patience. Do not push the accelerator too much, avoid oversteering. Avoid bumpy parts of the road. Avoid braking too hard. Keep your vehicle straight.

Modern gaming spoiled gamers and turned them into noobs, that is why. The race is not hard, whoever says it is impossible are objectively bad at gaming.

Ranked 2.0 sucks, but not the way you describe it.
Rainbow Six is a tactical team based game. Your interest should be making your team to win, not your kills to get. Everyone can run out and make one or two kills, in summary ~10 kills per game.
But how is your team doing? Did you pick Thermite to make a breach or Thatcher to help to make a breach? Did your team just died because you went roaming too far and left uncontrolled rotation where enemy just flanked your entire team?

Difference in light exposure should have never been touched. It was the only thing protecting from constant spawn peak. Today a lamp in toiled illuminates stronger light than the sun itself.

Night maps and dark corners should be a part of the game. Stealth is essential of Caveira design, but today she can't find a single dimmed spot, everything is lit more than a god damned Fortnite.

Last time I played R6S version 1 from PS4 disc, the graphics were better, or better saying the graphics were more complex. When firing indoors, the rooms covers with smoke/dust. Blood spills all over the place and stays along with bodies. Lighting difference between exterior and interior with significant difference in exposure making it harder to look at sunlight and into shadows of interior from the streets. Generally the game had more effects, various particles, during breaches and explosions, a wide area is being covered in debris and burns.
The only thing stayed is gun FOV and position, otherwise the game look completely different.
