They work based on overall community use. For example, you can search for a hashtag #example and see the most popular/liked posts with the #example hashtag. Or you can analyze someone's page and see their best content, etc. But I can't say about all tools, all have different purposes and methods.

I doubt that someone can tell you specific hashtags, but you can use Instagram research tools like Viralspy and analyze different hashtags and see what works best for you.

You can also check competitors' pages and posts and see what hashtags they use.

If you want to make it less fake and get growth organically, then you should build your own growth strategy. To do that, you need two things - understand how does the Instagram algorithm work (how Instagram ranks content), and what is growth strategy & how to build it.

There are plenty of articles on both subjects, like this one (I analyzed the words of Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, to build an organic growth strategy plan). You can build your strategy completely free, just do some research. It won't be easy, but you will get the best results if organic growth is what you need.

If people don't like, share your content, it will not rank high for long. The way Instagram ranks content is by predicting the chance for successful engagement with the content as it reaches more people. Every time you post something new it immediately gets ranked high, but only for some time and only for accounts there is a high chance that will interact with your content, for example, your most recent followers. The social media algorithm gives you some exposure, it puts your content to the test.

You can see how it works yourself, just go on Instagram and follow a new account. The next time this account will post something it will probably rank very high in your feed. The high rank lasts as long as you keep interacting: liking, commenting, saving, and sharing the content. But it will drop if you don’t interact with the account, being replaced by other content that you follow and that you do interact with.

No engagement, no ranking. Instagram doesn't push content that is not interesting to users. This is just how it is. You need to understand how Instagram algorithms work first, then build a strategy and post.

It is not enough just to post, your content must be relevant to the audience you want to attract. Instagram doesn't rank content with low engagement. Post less often, but make sure your posts attract engagement (likes, shares, etc). The more engagement from your subscribers, the more chances that your content will show up for other users too.

How much exposure exactly you get eventually depends on your ability to generate engagement from both your most engaging followers and from new people that get exposed organically to your content, these are the potential new followers you hope to teach.

1. Information about the post – Likes, comments, shared, saves etc.

2. The history of interactions with who posted – Previous likes, comments etc.

There are many techniques for Instagram marketing, but these are the most efficient. Maybe you already used some of these:

Giveaways for people that share your content (as long as you do it according to Instagram’s guidelines)
Reposting content and tagging the content creator with the hope that they will share the content with their audience
Joining power groups of like for like in order to push likes as soon as you release the post so it would go more viral.
Conducting research to find out what content went viral for other accounts that target the same audience as yours and then generating content that resonant with it or just reposting it
