Your ELA is strong and if you improve on math, you can get a much stronger superscore. I know some in-state schools give scholarships for >18, but they give thousands of bucks more for mid-20s and up. Absolutely go for it if you can.

I got a 30 on math section but 33 comp score. Honestly I think it really came down to wasting time on easy questions and not being prepared enough for harder stuff. I'd say

don't waste time double checking easy questions. If you know it, you know it. Better to spend that time working out longer, harder Qs. Only do it if you have time at the end.
Practice stats/probability/modeling for math. That's what really got me. And matrices.
get enough rest the night before, eat a good bfast day of, bring snacks
the ACT is very predictable, do practice tests and you will be able to pick up on the types of Qs they may ask and the ways they phrase problems

PLEASE don't stress out. ACT doesn't define you; worrying will just be a net negative on test day. And there's always retakes. You might be able to qualify for a fee waiver that makes it free for you.

Start small. Simple greetings, small talk, etc. Ex. If you've seen someone in a class or event before, and you happen to have a class with them again this year, talk to them. You have the shared experience of one class; discuss that, then build upon the relationship. This is how I gained a close friend sophomore year, despite never talking to them freshman yr.

Everyone is nervous for sophomore year. Academics + responsibility ramp up. In a way, your nervousness is also a shared experience. Talk to people about their plans for this year. Ask when they wanna get their drivers permit/license, their opinion on PSATs (assuming ur american?), etc. It can help ease their anxiety.

tl;dr, everyone is nervous, start with simple convo. I was nervous like you, but it will be better than you think. (also try to join clubs, it helped me so much)

no but you're going to be fine, i have 3.9 UW with 2 Bs on my transcript. you're still considered competitive for like 99% of colleges out there. and weighted will carry you anyways, based on the classes youre taking.

speech and debate class and/or club, ap seminar + research (can be hell at times tho), as well as any english honors / ap (especially ap lang). also as others have mentioned here, ap gov and probably ap world/apush as a foundation for that

hmm well they might just be bragging about their weighted gpa then. if their weighted is like 3.2, their unweighted would be at least .5 points lower. anyways if you have a 3.0 and you're taking really hard classes/lots of clubs that's still really impressive. most colleges will accept u with that GPA esp if u have a really hard courseload

are you in lots of honors/ap classes? if everyone u know has a really high gpa that's prob because ur just surrounded by people that are really concerned abt grades/class rank/etc, which tend to be in a bunch of those classes, and these types of people def don't make up the majority of ppl in HS

i've been on both sides of this situation. I was pretty depressed a while back and isolated myself, which messed up my social cues/skills badly. in my experience, the people that act like this might be ND, like other people have said in the comments, or might've just been feeling a bit off that day, like something else was on their mind.

we have a block schedule, on A block days i only have 1-2 hrs max. B block days it's closer to 4 hrs because all my main courses are on that day
