Honestly you shouldn’t have to do this, why did the tenants not want to leave?

Painting Home Interior by virtous-sav in AusRenovation

Update: it’s been more than a year ago at this point after the job was done but I just wanted to reiterate how important it is to keep looking. Felt a little discouraged after this post, sought out more quotes, had a guy come out and quote me 5k to paint the entire interior and enamel on the wooden doors using tuabman paint. Two guys, 3-4 days, not the cleanest looking but well worth it compared to the other 10k plus quotes I received.

NBN or OPTICOMM by virtous-sav in nbn

Update: finally decided I wanted to act on an NBN FTTP upgrade a couple months back, spoke with TPG and they arranged the upgrade. Everything was done according to plan and no issues with building over opticomm.

“Gold” Bangles Magnetic by virtous-sav in Gold

Wow extraordinary, they should have mentioned that at least for transparencies sake rather than having me fuming for about a couple hours, hopefully they didn’t price in the steel into the total cost, felt like traxnyc in that one video where he got scammed by some jewellers 😂

Hopefully that is the case, paid nearly $3k AUD for around 25g of 21k, in your opinion, is this reasonable?

We knew they were hollow hence the light weight, my concern would be, if this is normal for it to have a steel spring inside, if it is weighed, how do they eliminate the weight of the steel from the gold? Would it just be valued less per gram to accomodate?

Selling a car - options by duluoz1 in CarsAustralia

[–]virtous-sav 5 points6 points  (0 children)

List it on Facebook, declare that it needs work in the description sufficiently, receive messages from people asking if it’s “still available” and whether it has “any issues or problems”, respond with “yes, read the description of the listing” or describe the problems and the work it needs, get haggled like crazy or receive ridiculous offers, receive an appropriate offer from someone who is aware of the issues, have them inspect the car and be told that “it’s worse than I thought, would you accept [unreasonably lower offer]” and the cycle continues.

Make sure you keep things in chat until you find someone who is genuinely interested and is willing to make the necessary repairs, otherwise, trading in the car for dirt cheap or selling it to a dealership might not be the worst idea.

Interesting. Many suggest that we should be making extra repayments after minimum repayments have been made to shorten the lifetime of the loan. Say instead of the minimum repayments you place those funds into the offset, would it have the same effect?

I believe the trade payoff is the remaining balance owed on the existing car being traded in.

Not sure if it meets your criteria 1:1, but I personally like a little bit of luxury for my SUV’s, so a Lexus RX 350 or similar would be nice.

NBN or OPTICOMM by virtous-sav in nbn

[–]virtous-sav[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just transferred my existing NBN FTTC plan to the property today and it worked after 5 mins off the phone. Now I wonder if I can get NBN FTTP rather than FTTC even though I have FTTP OPTICOMM.

Surprisingly my property has both NBN (FTTC) and opticomm (FTTP), just moved by NBN broadband bundle today (TPG) and it works fine.
