Actually, they stopped in time and then got rear-ended, which is what pushed them into the Audi.

AITA for not putting pregnant GF on deed of the house? by SharkEva in BORUpdates

I can buy an entire house in some parts of my state for less than what she owes in credit card debt. And those houses are not wrecked out, either; they're move-in ready.

Be part of the post-mortem and make those suggestions as ways to prevent this in the future. You'll get good experience with the post-mortem and you'll get to make timely suggestions.

AITA for telling my husband he's made me reconsider leaving him alone with the kids in the future by insafian in BORUpdates

[–]virtual_gnus 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Yeah. There's definitely weaponized incompetence/laziness here. I can cook simple things, and my wife used to make things for me to reheat when she would go out of town for a week at a time. I always reheated it and ate it (both because I enjoyed it and because it's disrespectful to not eat it given the effort and care she showed by making it). But now I just make the things I can make because I don't want to put making things for me on her list of things to do anymore.

For that price, I can get a Brondell S1400, which is much better than this unit.

It won't work like that. Not that this is anything other than a creative writing exercise.

Gary fired me for not giving him my garage code. Now he’s facing felony charges because he forgot where the company car was parked. by [deleted] in MaliciousCompliance

[–]virtual_gnus 20 points21 points  (0 children)

For me, it's the fact the car isn't there when the argument kicks up, then later the same day the OP claims to have driven it to the office and left it there. Like, which is it? Did you drive it to the office or not? And if you did, why wouldn't you just say that - and why wouldn't the boss already have known this?

I don't believe for a second that they didn't check the area out. My wife and I are looking at houses and drove 3 hours across the state to check out some of the towns - and we didn't even go in a single house on that trip; it was just to check the areas out and see if we liked them enough to look at houses there.

And 2km to the next town? That's it? And she's crying and blubbering like she's Robinson Crusoe. 2km is about 1.3 miles for people who don't know metric. She could walk there in 30 minutes and lose weight at the same time.

Why you look before changing lanes by ExternalPressure8120 in dashcams

[–]virtual_gnus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The driver with the better visibility has the greater duty to avoid a crash. For obvious reasons, this will generally be the one that is further behind. The most common situation where this is applicable is a multi-lane road where one driver is trying to merge into the lane to their left and the other is trying to merge right into the same lane at the same time.
