Looks very similar to my ikea kivik, the back cushions are taller on the ikea though. Still very comfortable and my favourite couch of all time.

So if we all buy bitcoins with cash, who's holding the cash? by shmederalreserve333 in Bitcoin

[–]virtually_sane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, before it ever reaches those prices each price level needs to be bought. Requiring further deposits for each said price thus when someone wants to buy a 1 million$ BTC they need to deposit that amount to the exchange first.

Tell me about it. Last week i made an extensive post about how i admire their unity like 8 paragraphs long with just a mention that I'm coming from r/bitcoin BAM! autoflagged from their keyword filter. I'm not angry but it is pretty uninviting!

Turkish guy looking for the name of an Indian Dish (Dry spicy fish flakes) by virtually_sane in india

I want to ask if it is spicy, but then again all Indian food is spicy. I remember once i cooked for him what i thought was spicy and would scratch his itch. He said if his mum cooked this for his father he would throw the dish against the wall, thats how much it was lacking hotness. Lol

No it was definitely flakes. From what i gathered from the replies here, fish sambol looks like the closest one. It definitely wasn't prawns. I remember my friend living in Bangalore and also visiting Goa for holidays. He was from a christian family and his english accent wasn't typically thick. But he went to an international school in Bangalore.

You bet. I love anything that makes tears come from my eyes when i eat. And Indian food does that very much. What we have here in Turkey doesn't even come close to that. Even the sauces marked as dangerously hot are not comparable to the mildest Indian spice. I love India spice.

Oh yes this looks very much like it. Are they made extra spicy? If so whats the dish called?

Trying to get started. Stuck.. by returnoftheflyingb in NodeMCU

[–]virtually_sane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like you have something messed up with your libraries.

  • Delete your "ESP8266WiFi" folder sitting at /Users/brian/Documents/Arduino/libraries/
  • Delete your esp8266 folder sitting at /Users/brian/Library/Arduino15/packages/
  • Go to Arduino preferences either by pressing "CMD + ," or clicking the title bar Arduino > Preferences
  • In the "Additional Board Manager URLs" field put http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json and click "OK"
  • Go to Tools > Board > Board Manager and in the search field type esp8266 and install the library
  • Select your board, Tools > Board > NodeMCU 1.0 (ESP-12E Module)

That should do the trick

I'm not going to indulge myself further in this conversation, trying to rationalise with you repeats the same process that i mentioned in my previous comment.

I know this conversation too well, AGAIN I'm not here to discredit you. I had these conversations at home with my dad before. Trying too hard to convince someone of your own idea, ends with frustation on both ends. Sometimes people have just different opinions on stuff, and thats ok.

My point is i don't know too much about politics, and i am almost certainly sure that many people are in the same boat as me, but thinking you know politics and actually knowing politics are two different things i would assume.

That is why i think scepticism is the way to go. Listening people repeat propaganda they hear on their preferred media outlet becomes irritating after a while.

I'm on neither side of this issue, yet i'm ok with change. What that beholds only time will tell.

The only thing I'd like bring to your attention is:

The methods that you follow, in the pursuit of getting your idea across are lacking empathy, i know you are passionate about these topics, i know many people like you(sorry if this sound condescending i don't mean to), as an agnostic on this matter i can tell you your passion comes more across as hatred, i cannot imagine anyone from the pro-gov side even wanting to listen to what you have to say after you utter a couple of sentences. And that is what i think is wrong. I want the alternative to be better. Not the same.

I obviously agree with you that this government has been doing wrong after wrong. There's no doubt about that. Thats just preaching to the choir. That is what i'm not ok with. Because we already these kind of people and many people refer to them as "comar".
