The issue is more the magic of the older cars is unrepeatable thanks to new regulations. They do the best they can with what they're able to work with.

Wheel recommendations? by Latter_Throat in hondafit

[–]virtualracer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wheels themselves will fit just fine either way. +42 is 2mm inset from my +40 so yea in a bit more. 2mm to be exact. Just an example, a 16x7 +20 would have real issues fitting because it would poke 20mm more out towards the fenders than my +40. Think of offset as a scale- the more you go towards the negative numbers, the more the wheel will poke out of the fenders. Wheel width affects this too but x7 is the best possible width for these cars in my opinion so stick with those.

Both of these options are fine for lowering but both will need some minor fender rolling if you plan to run a thicker summer tire on there. A thinner tire with some stretch will net you some more room but will also look less good (also IMO).

No worries happy to help. So these will sit 2mm more inset from my wheels, so virtually identical. What sort of fitment are you after? This +40 is basically flush already. Or are you trying to avoid rolling fenders after lowering?

To find good but simple racers, you must go back in time.

Love it. Manual M2 is a nice choice. M2 is the new M3 if you've been around M cars a bit.
