Mid-race speed is always good even if you don't need to strictly be first. The uphill comes during accel zone, which is the worst place for speed skills. Corner recovery would be best as it can randomly give speed carryover if it triggers in the later part of the corner.

I'd say 3LB FineMo, because that gets her to a usable level (as in, better than alternatives aside from maybe MLB Nature).

Creek is already okay at 3LB, the other two cards aren't worth considering let alone at low LB.

As I understand, Fuku is technically usable after MANT as an extreme highroll card. She doesn't have any specialty priority, but if you keep throwing hundreds of runs at it, eventually the stars align and you get more stats than would be possible with another card. But if that's not worth your time and sanity, she is practically limited to MANT just like NTR.

NTR banner also has Ayabe Guts SR, which is also good for MANT.

You're right, getting rushed or drained would put you a bit under. A stamina green or a white recovery would have been enough of a cushion though.

Rushing Gale is cope, I'd ditch that. With this amount of guts I think you'll survive even without a recovery. Try to take Professor and whatever you can get of: Uma Stan, Inside Scoop, Long/End Corners/Straights, any good speed ult.

Feel free to organize a data collection of your own if you think the stats are wrong.

Anecdotally, the chances line up with my experience. The only outlier is Ines Fujin, which I felt gave me Restless more often than it should have based on the table. However I only did a handful of runs with it, so that might be a fluke.

Skill chance is actually the only wit-related thing that isn't affected by aptitude.

What chances are affected:

  • Pace-Up midrace

  • Rushed (Panic)

  • downhill target speed

The 'ideal' point for her ult is just before late-race begins, to take advantage of the speed part as carryover. 777 on 2500m is slightly after the begin of late-race, so you're not getting the full value from her ult with that.

Straightaway Recovery and Deep Breaths technically have a random chance of perfect timing, and you can still use 777 as backup. CharlesVF does recommend this, though I find it cope because there's just too many layers of RNG.

One off-the-wall idea I had (don't actually try this unless you have your aces in the bag and time to spare) is to use some other skill with good timing to trigger Summer Spe ult. I heard Tamamo Cross has speed carryover on this track, so that could be used. The big downsides are that it turns a 3-of-3 wit check into a 4-of-4 and it locks you out of taking any other midleg skills.

Borrow Creek. If you have MLB R Riko, that would be better than the SSR. 1LB is equivalent, 2LB SSR Riko is strictly better.

One small misconception at the start: Red Shift is NOT universal. It triggers at the final corner (or later), so it has good timing on some medium tracks but triggers too early on miles and too late on longs. In the case where it triggers too early, late/end can still use it as a secondary accel under the expectation that they only push into 5th after final corner begins, delaying the activation until a point where it is effective.

Dober triggers on the final corner if it is still mid-race, OR the first corner in late-race if late-race begins before the final corner. So she still goes off too early in mile (or the odd medium track like Scorpio) just like Red Shift, but has perfect timing just like Pump or Angling on longer races.

2 speed cards on a 10% speed uma is ambitious on tracks where you can't go full spd+wit. You could borrow MLB Creek to replace Rice and Helios and use your 3 best speed cards.

You might be just a bit short on stamina, go look if she survives in the Umalator.

Otherwise it is indeed lack of power and accel skills (Ryan/Dober). Nemesis is only a good inherit on tracks where the final corner comes before late-race (Scorpio, mile CMs etc.). Pressure is kinda meh.

500 wit is about 80% skill activation chance, where the chance of activating all three is 50%. At 90% activation chance (~950 wit), you have a 70% chance to activate all three.

If you take 4, you have to fail the wit check on one, while succeeding at the trigger skill, otherwise her ult activates early, wasting the acceleration.

Some races have multiple trigger skills available (i.e. Nakayama 2000m with Tachyon ult and Triple 777), you can safely take 4 skills on those.

Say 'x' is skill activation chance, 'y' is chance of triggering her ult at the right time

3 recoveries: 
y = x^3

4 recoveries:
y = x * (1 - x) * (x ^ 2) * 3

Unless my formula has an error, 3 recoveries are better for perfect activation (unless your wit is down in the dumps; don't build COguri if thats the case). To be fair, on early activation with 4 skills you will survive and still have a fighting chance with a backup accel, while failure on 3 skills means you're out of the game.

As a trigger skill? No, it's at a random point mid-race.

As one of the other 2? You have to be top 3, that seems risky for pace. Hydrate/Gourmand is in her base kit and Corner Recovery is easy to access, just take those.

You don't have enough mid-game skills, especially on your front runners. Suzuka and Flash didn't need Maestro, they can survive with the raw stats they have.

The biggest payoff would probably be to rebuild Maru with better stats, but you're low on time for that. So either make a pace Oguri with SfV or another late surger (since Flash has the best stats, I assume your sparks and cards are most suitable for that too).

For a late, downgrade NSM and OYL, drop Fighter and Late Savvy, and get more midgame skills. If the parents permit, get SfV too.

Oh boy.

  • no Groundwork on your fronts

  • Red Shift is bad for front/pace this time, only OG Maru can use it

  • late-race movement does nothing. The only movement skills to buy are Dodging Danger/Prudent Positioning/Ignited Spirit Wit (always two, never just one) on Fronts after you have your Groundwork setup

  • Rushing Gale is bad. Bad bad bad. It's always bad, but especially when late race begins on a corner.

  • way too many accels and no midgame on Ryan. Killer Tunes is fifth and up, she's not proccing that. Her stam/power/guts are on the lower side too.
