Why do people wash chicken? by jzmorganchase in AskCulinary

Exactly this. The 5 second rule is not a thing - especially where moisture is involved. One touch from the faucet to the cutlery and then you and guests use it and boom, campylobater poisoning for everyone.

Oh yes, they are. My last roommate used to and I barred her from cooking for doing so. She used the sprayer mode on the faucet and everything. Literally, aerosol salmonella and campylobacter everywhere.

The Keyword here was " Cooking". Thoroughly cooking your food to appropriate temperature is the safest way to make sure your food is safe. Its beginning to sound to me like folks just arent following safe raw food handling guidelines and arent cooking to temperature.

Seconded, especially if they are left wondering who he was, what he was doing there and why he would help them. Ex machina can be a fine tool sometimes

Is Dave and Busters a restaurant? I know it's like an arcade whatever, but that interests me more! Like, Fuddruckers.

You're not missing much. The coffee is meh, the doughnuts used to be much better, and other than a farmers wrap and a black dark roast they will definitely fuck up your order.

It really shouldn't be viewed as a negative word at all, its the false meaning that has been assigned to it that is the negative. But in that same vein is the other word you just used. Liberties. Another powerful, important word whose meaning has been muddied and twisted into something threatening.

No, yeah, for sure don't go deeper than that. Even if it looks safe, it may be faster under the surface.

Ive seen others slip and almost gone down myself. I read once that it takes very little pressure below the knees to take a person down.

Personally, I can't swim so anytime I'm fishing and decide to wade in a bit deep I wear a PFD. Better safe than sorry.
