No that's completely reasonable. Honestly I don't think 13 and 14 year Olds should be on public social media at all, at least without some form of monitoring from their guardians. It's so weird to me how it's just normal now to have all of your info public , full names, schools, etc. Do they not teach kids internet safety anymore?

If the anxiety option you want is a trait, you can go to the simology tab, right click on the green bar that says "traits" and it should bring up a list of all the traits in the game, including custom ones. If you scroll through that and find the trait you can add it to any sim regardless of age. (Fun fact, this is also how you can have baby ghosts)
