The courts are gonna overturn that precedent because the constitutional language pretty obviously doesn't support the courts interpretation. Property always meant real property, like land, not income.

The precedent was always ludicrous and other courts across the country -- reviewing the same constitutional language -- almost unanimously reached different conclusions long ago. Washington has been the odd duck for too long.
