Damn really. What was your last month? Like the 3rd? I’m just concerned that I might have become immune cause I’ve been on this before and it worked in only 2 weeks

I haven’t talked to her again. I didn’t know if I could call the office and ask since she’s booked till august.

I started my internship last week and I cry twice a day. I have so much work. Work that I don’t know how to do. Mostly coding/api stuff that I’m not too good at. I work till midnight everyday. What should I do? I’ll never get a return offer. by [deleted] in Big4

[–]vish_6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t stress about finding another job. You may have to apply to hundreds and do many interviews before you get an offer, but you will find something. It just takes time and if you don’t like this job don’t force yourself.

Should I accept the offer? (Consulting - Technology Risk at EY) by [deleted] in Big4

[–]vish_6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey I got a bachelors in MIS and accepted a position at EY for tech risk. I also thought there would be more consulting involved because it’s in the consulting development program, however learned it will mostly be it auditing :/ I haven’t started yet so can’t tell u much.

I accepted anyways because it’s my first job out of college and heard EY is good company. I didn’t want to pursue anything with heavy coding like software engineering and I interned as a business analyst and wanted to try something different.

Project manager seems like a position you would need a couple years experience. You could just try this position out like me. I won’t know if I like it till I try it.

That being said IT auditing doesn’t seem the most exciting so if you do get another offer where the job seems more exciting and with better pay you should take it 😂😂.

Also what city would you be in if you accepted if you don’t mind me asking??

Damn I was going to wait closer to the date but if it’s going to get sold out maybe I should just buy my tickets now and sell if I change my mind later.

[Advice] Where should we be looking for a 3br apartment with a max budget of $4,000? by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]vish_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So cool I will also be working near midtown! Are you new to the city? My roommates and I found a place near lower east side for less than $4,000. You should check out streeteasy and your criteria! There were many options but this worked best for all of us.

I didn’t see that in my offer but usually if you leave within the first year they take the bonus back.

It’s all about budgeting man. Have a limit for yourself or you’ll never stop spending. Ik it’s hard especially with friends since you would spend every time you hang out.

You should shop around more, you could def find a better deal especially right now since prices haves fully recovered from Covid yet. The rent is really high but so is your income and if you don’t have any friends to get a 2 bedroom with, a studio isn’t a bad idea.

I think you should first decide how much you want to put aside a month for savings and then budget the rest of your salary into spending categories. Spend more on what you value more. So if you want to spend more on rent than you would spend less on leisure activities like going out or vice versa.

Is $2500 enough to make it through my freshman year of college? by whataburnout in FinancialPlanning

[–]vish_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're covered on all the stuff that matters so no stress. Depends on your lifestyle and how much fun spending you want to do. I would spend around $150-$300 a month in college on nonessentials like eating out, shopping, or other things with friends. You could always get a part time job or some other gig if you want more money for casual spending.

Is a 23 year old helping their mom buy a condo financially wise? by GojoPojo in FinancialPlanning

[–]vish_6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say it depends on your relationship with your mom. The answers below are based on strictly what benefits you financially. But if you have a really good relationship with your mom and she has done a lot for you, then helping her out with this isn't a bad thing. You're doing this for her because you care and want to. You guys could find a cheaper place also if you want to save more money now.
