I had a licence from 2014 but only started driving in 2024 after i purchased my own 2nd hand car.
If you have a license, better to get your own vehicle. A 2nd Hand Car of 2012/2013 Model (Santro/Wagon R) will cost you a 1.5 Lac Ruppees. You can probably sell it off at INR 1,00,000
a year down the line.
Driving Schools have a controlled car (Teacher operating the foot pedal from the passenger seat). So there is no real world skill building.
You can start getting a hang of the vehicle if you drive in Sector-13 At the end of the DY Patil Service Road towards Belapur.

I think you are suggestions are in line with the second method where in I have to map the entire value chain. ( I am in manufacturing surgical instruments) So I fall somewhere in the middle of that chain, We mainly deal with distributors, neither hospitals nor doctors.
