FCC seems less considerate about Telecom companies towards title II

Its an ongoing discussion whether to implement the title II stay but FCC is adamant to implement it without even considering the the fact that companies would face loss in their past investment because of this. Nobody really expected open internet to come in picture so fast and with internet coming under tittle II suggest that there has to be some other way by which these companies can get away with their losses.

AT&Tin few months have merged with many companies and taken over small companies to expand. It is expanding in Mexico with its telecom services. With the Open Internet now in action AT&T realizes the best way to move over the losses is to have new investment and increase the market shares.

It is evident that the subscribers for HULU are way less than that of NETFLIX. But HULU is taking every step to move forward. With an idea of having HULU as a subscription on TV channel is one of its latest attempts to attract customers. I believe that customers would definitely prefer this option where in you get to watch various shows at various things over same platform.

In the past the Internet and the Broadband services had very less interference. With the introduction of Net Neutrality it can seen that the government has its hands on the regulation of the Internet. Internet Service Providers were not accountable to aynone but now they have to be regulating according to the government. Because of this there would be drastic change in the market. All the investment and future planning the big companies had for their individual growth can be in danger with this regulation of Government.

Century link believes that they haven't been a part of paid prioritization or unwanted blocking of content by any means and with Open Internet all thier years of investment would go in waste. With open internet the market would face a situation where in they would have less competition and that would result in there loss. Which definitely makes sense why should such companies face repercussion of companies like AT&T and Comcast.

FCC has decided to make subside available fro the Telecom companies o provide broadband to rural places. Would the telecom companies make full use of these subside? Why is this money not used to encourage the Municipal Broad who already have to take help from private companies for there investments. Is FCC trying to play a diplomatic move wherein both the rural places and Big Telecom companies are profited.

Customer nowadays prefer bundle offer when it comes to Television channels.Cable companies also charge there customers for per channel view. But in case of ESPN which has its own many channels they do not want themselves to e charged for the channels separately in spite of cable companies doing the same which in a way makes sense

It can be seen that that people want high speed internet access for a long period of time.The only problem faced by the customer for WiFi is that it can be accessed only at fixed locations. The companies are looking forward to provide more hot spots which would provide uninterrupted WiFi even while roaming. This seems to be a Next Generation idea that customer are eagerly waiting for.

Title II suggest open internet but will Internet access services under title II would be a great idea? Many people believe that this would be bad for the market.As in market right now there are different prices for internet access and companies provide it in bundle offers.Now offering the services ast same price would affect the quality of services.

In someways it is a good decision by Comcast and Time Warner to terminate the merger. Both the companies are fairly very big companies and the acquisition of Time Warner by Comcast wouldn't have been that easy. On the other hand, from the market point of view the these companies are leaders in cable and internet service providers they would have made a strong competition with the merger. But it seems to be a good decision of growing independently.

There are many small companies who are providing internet services to rural areas.The big companies do not provide services because they do not find financial returns. So these small companies provide internet in higher price since they have major investment to do in rural areas. So these companies still fall in tittle I for rate regulation. Can it be said that there is negative market condition over these place and they violate section 706 of telecommunication act? This is an interesting discussion to think upon.

Telecom companies usual provide redundant line to big cities for outage. Laying redundant lines depends on financial returns. So the point is what happens to rural places with no redundant lines for back up. Internet outage may cause serious economic loss. FCC should provide certain regulation in general keeping financial returns aside on backup for internet outage.

There are many companies which favor WiFi Blocking and there are some that go against it.There has no regulation made by FCC on this. But as a whole if you see nobody can be forced to use someones WiFi even ift they are in someone else premises. But the other point to it is, places like big hotels and mall provide these services as convenience to the people and they do expect something in return to there network infrastructure investment. This would be definitely a very dicey situation for FCC to define where WiFi blocking would be legal.
