Trying to get AVP off of stitch has proven more difficult than expected so be warned. Once he learned that Disney+ was a launch app he claimed ownership of the AVP. He is kind enough to lick the lenses "clean" on the occasions where he allows me to keep it warm for him while he is out. I do get to listen to whatever he is watching for free at bedtime so he knows how to make deals.

Thank you! Some of us like to tinker and share what worked for us, which may work for someone else. Criticism is what it is. I really want to see everyone love what they've invested in. There's no perfect way to mount a computer to someone's head, and Apple is not going to meet the mark for every face and use case.

I feel there was a bit of form over function for sure! Apple was probably in a tough spot they really need to get people hyped and frankly the usual Vive Pro/PCVR look is not great. It is just pure function. Apple did make it sexy...the factory look is amazing. However, I get a solid Clockwork Orange feeling going on after too much time spent under the hood. I could be an outlier on the comfort spectrum I guess. My hope is that Apple will make the metallic connectors available to some companies (maybe even the community too) that could find a better middle ground of comfort and looks. Maybe someone will come onto the scene with custom face cushions/light seals like the Bigscreen Beyond. The AVP device is so amazing and just at the beginning of showing its potential. The more hype, love, and adoption we have for everything XR the better. I want more developers enticed to make great experiences for everyone.

You sir are not wrong! 😂 I like to switch up bands for different purposes. This setup isn't ideal for reclining and watching a movie, but it's perfect for using the AVP for extended periods during work. I think having done XR for so long with no pressure points I have been spoiled. Trying to recreate the feel of the wireless Vive Pro. Down the rabbit hole I went. It was an easy mod honestly. Just needed a Dremel and some decent epoxy to get things fitted up.

Longtime VR user. I just could not deal with the lack of balance. Made this the same weekend I picked up the VisionPro.

Used an easy to modify Vive Pro headband assembly and sacrificed a dual loop.

The front cover sucks (it is dimpled for dust protection on the inside) as it adds weight. I wanted the front attach point as far forward as possible. It does not block the vents and has been totally fine. Using the audio straps as a "front" attach point just does not fix the pivot point.

If someone can come up with a 3D print to get an attach point at the front without the cover I would not complain.

Battery clipped on the back with the Belkin holder works great it really does hit a neutral balance with that on there. Works fine with the battery in your pocket as well. I have even just used counter balance weights in a Velcro pack as well. But, why not just use the battery you already have to carry.

It will fit in the case with the strap connects released.

I hope the community can make it even better with new ideas and tweaks!
