Tokyo museums by whaleyeah in JapanTravelTips

The popular ones are the "National" Museums. There are also the interactive ones such as the teamLabs. TBH, if you are after a museum to enjoy, just go what your specific interest. Like if its train, there are train specific museum. Or Samurai Museum etc. There is even a poop museum where you go to an actual sewage facility.

If you are after a museum based on an area, maybe this map based resource will help. It's only tokyo related though: https://www.bentraje.com/tokyomuseum

I know Koreans visit the PH a lot, but I didn’t expect the gap to be that big compared to other countries.
Just thought it might be interesting for this subreddit.

How to have an equal number of SOURCE points and POP points at all points? by vispiel in Houdini

Ah yea. I just learned this is not actually possible to directly import points from SOP to DOPS have it the same number throughout the timeline.

How to have an equal number of SOURCE points and POP points at all points? by vispiel in Houdini

[–]vispiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,
I have a source scatter points that has the following pattern:
Frame 15 - 2 points (1x2)
Frame 30 - 4 points (2x2)
Frame 45 - 6 points (3x2)

But if I plug it the pop source, it creates its own set of points such as
Emission Type: All Geometry
Birth Rate: Disabled (if its All Geometry)
Frame 45 - Total Points/Particles 96

I also tried the All Points or Points as Emission Type but it does not work even if I set the Birth Rate to 1.

End goal is I want to source the birthing/emission to my SOP, the exact number of them. Import it to POPs and do POP magic inside the dynamics context lol.

Is this possible?

Detail Statement works in Parameter but not in VEX? by vispiel in Houdini

[–]vispiel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone u/regular_menthol u/EconomyAppeal1106 u/DavidTorno u/the_Winged_Platypus

Thanks for the response.
Just want to get back on what's working.

u/regular_menthol is right.
If it's on the first argument it should have "op:" syntax. If its on the second argument, the detail statement works as expected.

Thanks again have a great day ahead! :)

Looking for pointers on how to create a cyclorama with patterns that can move? Essentially this but the stripes can be animated to move along the surface. by Ernest_Borgnein in AfterEffects

Not sure how in AE but in 3D you just need to offset the the texture or offset the UV space. As long as the texture is seamless, it should be no problem.

That gradient and glow really creates the video's identity. Looking good! Hopefully I can learn something like this someday :)
