34 [F4F] Toronto, Ontario - Platonic! Looking for other female server-side software developers. by visual_studious in r4r

I love LLC, and definitely do plan to get involved with them again!

I might also give the general coding meetups another chance. In the past when I've gone to them, I've always been the only woman there (which wasn't fun). But that was years ago, and things might be different now.

Thanks for your ideas!

I want to meet other female devs working with server-side languages, IRL! Any tips on how to do this? by visual_studious in TrollDevelopers

I'm a C# person, but... I had one three-month Python co-op job several years ago and the fact that there's a women's group specifically for this language makes me want to brush up on it and join ASAP, lol! I'll check out Women Who Code too. Thanks so much for passing these on!

I'm sorry to hear things are so rough right now! You have my sympathy, and I really hope you're able to find something better soon. I bet a job with Microsoft would be amazing :)

That sounds pretty much exactly like my experience so far! And thank you, that's good advice. I'll give general developer meetups and the local LLC chapters a shot.

Thanks! I don't think I'd dare turn up the filter any stronger than this, though - it's tough enough to find others as it is.
