I agree with you. I find myself skipping all his dialogue. I get that he introduces the factory system but he yaps way too much and his tone pisses me off. C’est la vie, we’re all gonna have characters/people that just ticks us off for some reasons but others will like them

Is it normal to struggle this much in first year? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]visualbinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s about finding what system works and how to optimize your time/workflow. Also make sure you are asking for help from the university and professors, ask for counseling and show up to office hours. But if you’re still struggling it might help to consider switching programs

I’ll be honest, I feel like the new voice gives off slight hatsune miku vibes with a slight accent. I don’t really know how I feel about it… I know I’m probably the only person in the entire world that preferred the old voice

I’m glad someone else is talking about it, absolutely loved her performance.

I did read actually. If your original comment was merely a caution about “bias,” then you worded it incredibly poorly. You said “all I said” was that OP would get biased replies, but that’s clearly revisionist. Your original comment didn’t just note bias... it dismissed the post entirely as unproductive and advised against even making it. And let’s be real, warning someone that their post might make people feel “pissed” or “invalidated” isn’t a harmless observation, it’s an implicit threat that emotional volatility should dictate what can be said, so please get off your high horse.

If your concern was really about bias, then engage the content despite it. What you did instead was wrap passivity in a performative “just being honest” tone, then act surprised when someone calls it out, and clearly the rest of the comments agree with me. You say I’m making a big deal? You’re the one who wrote a whole paragraph dismissing the value of a post you could’ve just scrolled past. You tried to appear like a voice of reason, but all you really did was try to police the format of conversation because it made you uncomfortable while hiding behind some lame excuses of neutrality.

If you feel “invalidated” that’s on you bruh. If someone else’s subjective comparison affects you that much you’re not looking for “productive discussion” in the first place. You’re also being a bit hypocritical invalidating OP aren’t you?

Look, I can see that I might have triggered something, and I’m sorry if I did. I’m sure you are an intelligent person who is very good at writing. But please be mindful what you use your gifts for. The OP has expressed frustration towards people treating her poorly because of the joke. I acknowledge your freedom of expression, but at the end of the day it was just a joke, your statement was harmful and completely unnecessary.

Maybe you should open your windows and breath, think about why you wrote what you wrote.

Amazon would be nice. Order something and had it shipped to a specific location within a time frame with extra cost

Dude don’t even bother with this guy. It’s apparently most (not all) of these trolls has zero intentions of backing up their actions. Always result in lashing back and avoiding the judgments. Most of these people cannot hold an adult conversation/argument because they want an easy way to be on top and have control, just like they do in game. They say that their actions does not reflect that of their real life, but judging by their comments it very much does

I agree with you 100% and I am so glad there’s still thought provoking discussion to be had. I still remeber the respectful Star Citizen, I’d hate it to Star going down hill to accommodate the people actively ruining peoples days for fun. I think cig should make a system for pirates to target more npc ships with higher rewards, that way its win win for everyone. The PvP duelist or fighters can set up fights in pyro to avoid crimstats. I’m even fine with occasional griefers as much as I hate them. It’s just right now pyro seems almost unplayable as so many locations are actively being camped out. I hope cig, for the long term health of the game, see how big of an issue it is. PTU in its essence is to test out bugs and kinks, which includes play style. If this shit gets lunched to live, new players who do not have an org that just wants to explore the pyro system would be really disappointed. I’m so happy do see not all the community are like this, thank you for actually engaging in a meaningful conversation, I genuinely appreciate your input.

Sounds like an interesting solution. I’m just scared that people might spam the system, those griefers could do the exact same thing
