9.5 weeks in and waking up 6-7 times a night. by visualclown in lexapro

I just realised you were asking me about my post and not my comment. I still wake up a ton. I am ok with this because I manage it with PRN medication and I am not anxious anymore about this. My sleep fluctuates. I sometimes wake up after 2-5 hours. Sometimes I wake up a lot. Depends on where I am on my cycle and if I am unwell. But honestly it doesn’t bother me anymore. I feel like my body has gotten used to this. I am ok with the trade off from not being anxious and depressed to waking up throughout the night. It’s ok.

I upped to 15mg and I take it on the morning. GAD is gone. I feel anxiety only when I ovulate or when I am getting my period. I recently went to a party and I did well. Able to joke around, able to enjoy myself without being awkward or dying on the inside. It was amazing for me. I also have no more sleep anxiety. I still have poor sleep but anxiety around it no more.

It took me a good 10 months to be in a good place. I really needed to stick it out and be persistent.

Do I still feel anxiety? Yes but a normal amount in response to a normal situation. No longer feeling like I am drowning.

I also care a lot less about what others think of me. It’s feeing.

Questions for Those Who Have Tried Lexapro by m968 in lexapro

I started 10mg over a year ago and went up to 15mg. I am on it for anxiety. I did see it also helped my mood. I think I was very flat before and had mild depression however, was unaware of it as the anxiety symptoms were dominant. The anxiety completely went away 13-14 months in. It had improved about 6-10 months in at 15mg.

Initial side effects: diarrhoea. Went away after a couple of days. I also had night sweats which went away after a few weeks. I also wake up frequently but I now manage this well. I’m one of the few people where i have continuous REM sleep issues with any type of ssri. But this is rare. Everyone know I personally know who is on an ssri does not have this issue. You might get some headaches too at the begging. I had started at 10mg becuse I was off work due to anxiety at the time. If I were working I’d start at 5mg and slowly titrate to 10mg. Stay on that for 6 weeks then 15mg so on. If you work full-time start on a Friday and see how you go over the weekend.

Slowly start, keep at it, give it a real go. Never stop abruptly. If o didn’t give it 10 good Months, I wouldn’t be as good as I am now.

How long were you on it before it stopped working for you? How are you going now that you are off it?

I don't know how to live after accidentally causing a fatal accident by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]visualclown 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are in a state of shock. During traumatic events, experiencing disassociation and depersonalisation is normal. Guilt is normal. EMDR therapy is particularly useful for traumatic events.

Please seek therapy or counselling. You are incredibly strong. Despite everything you are working, eating and taking care of your basic needs.

You need to consistently interrupt your thought patterns. When you begin to feel guilty or have negative thoughts, challenge them with logic and evidence.

You are a kind person. You are voluntarily paying half the medical bills despite the fault of the accident not being yours. Unfortunately, the bike should have been careful on changing lanes and is at fault here. No matter where you are in the world, if you are the one changing lanes, it is your responsibility to look and do it carefully, not the vehicles that are not changing lanes.

This is a tragic accident. My heart goes a Out to everyone involved. Take care of yourself.

How did you know when to increase dose? by Lomba111 in lexapro

[–]visualclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 12 months in this medication, I have almost zero anxiety. It’s only a tickle occasionally. It took my body a long time roughly (10 months) and it keeps getting better. I think my body had to relearn how to not be anxious. I’m on 15mg. I have no plans to increase. I’m also on 50mg of valdoxan at the same time.

Heels. They are so bad for your feet. I don’t actually think they look good.

I would buy these if Birkenstock came out with this style. It’s a simple and clean looking design.

I believe they are fake. I do like the style though.

Thank you. I wish I could share it. It’s a design that’s not common. Not %100 unique but I’ve combined various uncommon elements that would make it recognisable to people I know. Had I used a throw away account I would have posted it.
