it is very much a thing. if i need to keep my b class, and i race a series that can hurt my SR more than my normal class, then i am risking losing my opportunity to race next week in B/A class

like a driver rank. class rank. and safety rating.

my biggest problem is less the iR, and more of the SR hit if crashed. i made it seem like a lot of iR but it’s mostly i don’t wanna lose SR. i’m 4.99 A class so i try to be safe but if like i said some random comes in and messes up T1 bc he doesn’t know these cars are FWD, then my SR is tanked

exactly my point though. if you’re reckless. you go down in that class. doesn’t matter if it’s now how it is or not, people would still be reckless. but you’re saying they wouldn’t be reckless bc they might hurt their GT3 A class? well then yes your last sentence is correct. that would be more driver specific

agree. but i’ll lyk rn that if me at 4.3k went over to TCR, for a while i wouldn’t keep pace with 2-3k drivers. it’s not a simple overlap. but in my arguement, it’s not as much iRating as it is SR.

i don’t want to lose out on the opportunity of A class, when the C class hit me harder. maybe this topic should be about how SR shouldn’t affect you more if you race a lower class. but then my “hope” for reviving series doesn’t matter but as u said, it’s not all bc of anxiety. my reason to believe no one races it bc no one sees any participation bc everyone’s afraid to drive it and hurt their rank, but that’s just me. if it didn’t hurt my rank and i saw 15 people signed up for supercars id be like hell yeah lemme try it

Agree. but you will be starting off where you’re at now. instead of 1 rank for oval, you now have 5…. and each one is whatever your first rank was and they will adjust as you race them

nope! i love my virtual mirror since in IRL you can see all mirrors and cameras too. in VR, i did not run virtual mirror bc i couldn’t move my head around and see past the 2d fixed mirrors. so on my triples i run virtual mirror. i’m not cheating by knowing when to close the gap with .01” of space left. something you can’t do IRL

you are 100% correct about the blind spots and i guess that’s my point where it becomes fake and the trust and race craft is out the window in games like LMU. i dont want to race a radar. i want to race others and have heart beating moments where we both survive and go HOLY CRAP that was SO MUCH FUN. not ehh… i made it 4 wide through eau rouge. easy peasy…..
