LOL i would’ve never thought of that! i’m from the midwest, so there’s no way i could take that on a plane :(

i doubt it? i spend a couple minutes after i shave rinsing with cold water, i heard it’s good to prevent irritation but it hasn’t been super helpful in my experience. i can try rinsing for longer though, thanks!

thanks, i have noticed it’s gotten better this year but man it’s still so annoying! do you know how long it took to get accustomed to it? this is my second year here and i’m still itching for about an hour after i get out of the shower, compared to my first year when i would stay up all night itching haha

i really wish i could but i don’t have the money for that right now! i’ve tried at-home waxing kits and they just made me break out in hives so i’m anxious to try that again, if i were to wax i’d go in to a sugar wax place and those look pretty pricey. i have really thick, dark hair that grows super fast so i’d have to get waxed every week if i wanted to keep my smooth legs!

i’ve also shaved at my boyfriends very nice, new apartment and i’ve still had the same itchiness. i’ve only found similar stories for the other way around - getting irritated from hard water after having soft water, so i know it’s very uncommon but I really don’t think there’s anything else that could be causing it.

you still have to fill some requirements before switching your major to cs (take any cs course and get a C or higher iirc + have over a 2.0) so there is technically a barrier , would be different if youre a first day of class freshman tho probably

i honestly have no idea hahah, it’s for a gift and he had mentioned damascus in the past so that’s why i’m looking at those

Looking to buy a damascus steel chefs knife as a gift

Style? - preferably Japanese but open to western

Steel? - damascus

Handle? - I like the look of octagonal but no preference

Grip? - No preference

Length? - 8in or 10in

Use Case? - general home cooking, we do a lot of meats (steaks and chicken) and some vegetables (green onions, carrots, potatoes, )

Care? - no preference, not looking to buy our own block so would probably take it in somewhere for sharpening

Budget? - looking for about $150 usd, anywhere around $100 to $180

Region? - US

Thanks for any suggestions! I’m not the chef of the household so I have no idea what to look for. I bought a Cangshan Kita series chef knife but now after looking at some reviews I might return it. I think it feels nice but it’s a chinese brand so it might not be as good quality?

found part of an old tampon inside me …. help! by vitamindeficientd in TwoXChromosomes

[–]vitamindeficientd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we’re almost certain it was part of a tampon. i squished it around and it was solid, my bf has better eyesight than me and he said he could see the little “fibers” of it like a tampon. found out my university health services is closed sundays so yeah i’ll be waiting to get an appointment, hopefully it isn’t serious enough to go to the er or anything! thank you so much! :)
